@yumichan899 - she could be nervous - she's singing live. and when you record for a movie, you don't have to do the whole song in one sitting, so she may not have been used to singing it all at once.

the fact she had no probs or dancers or funny clothes but still did a better job than kristen is great people didn't give amy enough credit for this perfomance of for her work in the flim she was great init and better than Ellen Page that got an oscar nom amy should've gotten that or angelina ellen wasn't gr8 at all amy isnt a broadway star like kristen yet she still did better & they should keep it up here as kristens performance is on here maybe they didn't want people seein amy is better

so, i thought amy adams was fantastic in the movie, but if you're gonna squabble about who had a better oscars' performance, chenoweth trumped adams. she loses power at the end of her notes and fades out. And if you didn't catch the flub at 1:44, well then i might concede that chenoweth didn't do that much better. I think Adams was very nervous, but Chenoweth has been on Broadway, so she was more prepared (having extensive vocal training and opera performance training).

wow umm, haven't even thought about this vid in a really long time, so you pretty much put me at a disadvantage cuz I don't care to take the time to go back and see what i said. pretty sure Kristin's range probably nearly doubles that of Adams. anyway, i didn't watch Kristin's performance at the show, but i've seen many other live performances, and i really don't see how, as wonderful as Adams is, one can say they are equal. Not in training, and not in vocal.

The song have obviously been tailored to Amy's vocal range, style and ability - otherwise it would be foolish for her to have the part. Kristin's is very different. She sounded like she was uncomfortable with the notes that she was hitting. I don't think you can say that they are tied vocally.

Ok, first, it's KristIn ChenowEth, ok? Got it? And second of all, I think they were both very good. Amy is a very god singer, but Kristin has lots of training in musical training. But Kristin's acting is all pure talent, because she has no training in Drama. She has a masters in opera, though. They are both wonderful. Plus, Kristin is impressive, because her voice is big and mature, while she is only 4'11, and talks like a kid.
