As a veteran attack chopper gunner I help the pilot by spotting enemies, shooting at anything and everything that moves nearby, and when the chopper is taking a lot of damage, the pilot will land the chopper in a safe spot, I get out and repair it as an engineer. Then we go back to taking down the enemy....
well obviously this game is dope on pc. but on console its actually a pretty bad game. one thing ive noticed when playing this game on console is the lack of destruction. believe i or not, bad company 2 had far more destruction. i also found some weapons in bf3 to outtclass everything else. everyone seems to use assult rifles and no1 really bothers with sub machine guns because they suck in bf3. the maps are also too big for 24 players.

@rollcd111 For some reason, I don't think that many of the randoms that play BF3 on Xbox (such as myself) have mics. I don't have one, and its common that the people in my squad don't either. You can only hear your squad unless you invite your entire team to a party chat.
@rollcd111 The best way to be sure that you can talk to your squad is to have 3 friends that own BF3 and a mic. Unfortunately for my friends list, most of them have MW3.
I'm in the military, when I play BF3, and apply my military training, I basically camp, stare at the enlarged mini-map, guard my relatively small "zone" on the outer fringe of the map, and move 10ft-20ft at most, unless I'm SURE it's ultra safe... which makes FPS not that fun :-( You get lots of kills tho :D

Quite frankly, I find many of your points highly irrelevant to the realities of Battlefield 3. You say not to complain about campers, yet you give no advice on how to actually deal with them. Although it is easy to flank on some maps, others (Operation Metro) have CQB conditions making flanking nearly impossible. Furthermore, you displayed a complete disregard for taking objectives, which is the sole purpose of battlefield.
In my opinion is more helpful to the team to arm an MCOM and sacrifice yourself, than to waste valuable time trying to get kills around the MCOM station (as you do). Focusing solely on kills does not win the game for you and your team. Focusing on objectives does. Really, the only good point you brought up was about repairing, replenishing, and reviving. These 3 R's are way more important on the battlefield than your 3 M's.

You are right, rino. But most people playing cannot write their own names. It takes 500 Q requests until someone drops an ammo box. In rush mode, when a buggy flanks the team which you can see from a thousand miles away, NO one attacks it, which might be related to the name writing problem. 99% of the people playing cannot cover anything, hit anything or think. And you cannot make someone think by telling him because - he can not think about what you try to tell him :)
Ya dude nobody uses mics when they play on the xbox it's really stupid. The only time I can actually play as a team is when I have 1 or more of my buddies in my squad I'm usually the medic but we work together to kick the shit out of the other squads.
So clearly, a class not being a supersoldierclass is NOT an issue. It is called game mechanic, compared to the wank mechanics of today and BF3.
In BF2 you were a grunt among grunts, in BF3 everyone is a supersoldier. Grunts work together, Supersoldiers just go off alone. And the GUI supports that, since you cant really tell what everyone else is doing anyway. You seldomly have to team up against an enemy. And if you do, it is mostly to outnumber them.There is no teamwork in BF3, its a wankparty
That a class was not versatile enough to survive each and every kind of situation was a GOOD thing. It meant, at least for certain situations, you had to rely on your team mates, and your team mates had to rely on you.
Giving the power of two or more classes to one class just makes it a giant dick. And thats how people play. If you're not in a huddle, they dont drop you ammo or health. Most engineers dont care about repair.
And the commander doesnt have to be followed, his job is 90% intel.
If you really want teamwork and a game that benefits teamwork and teamplay more than lone gunmen, then go and play BF2.
BF2 actually makes you choose one of 7 classes of which none has the SuperSoldierAbilities you got in BF3. Moreso, it features a commander position, meaning that one player per team does nothing but coordinate the team and spot enemies. The GUI of BF2 gives you the situational awareness that is lacking BF3 and keeping you from efficiently managing your squad and team.
@proditor21 Except for the fact that the commander is usually ignored. I logged many hours in the commander position, being ignored. And I will say that 7 classes was nice, but it had it's issues as well. Sometimes a class wasn't versatile enough to survive in most situations. A dedicated anti-tank class had issues in even smaller skirmishes. Merging it with the engineer class was a good move in my opinion.

Teamwork is something that is only gradually supported by BF3. Primarily, running and gunning gets you somewhere. Weapons are actually more accurate fired from the hip while moving then when being stationary and using the weapon sights. Sniper Bullets drop significantly less if fired from the hip then when being fired through the scope.
Also, CS:S is far from a "Run and gun" type shooter. Unless you are playing death match and gun game, CS:S is strictly a SND game with maps like office and dust (Which by the way, are fucking over played as shit.)
Play CS:S with no mods like gun game, deathmatch, etc... It's ALL SND style gameplay.
Give me a break, you people try to make battlefield out as some broken unplayable impossible game that takes shitloads of skill. CoD was my first FPS and I kick ass at Battlefield

I think it's not fair to categorize Quake as just a run-and-gun game and equalize its gameplay with CoD. Most weapons in it are not hit scan based so it takes skill to kill your enemy, not to mention strategies involving weapon, health and powerup management. You do not spawn with maximum health and armor, you have to pick them up on map and keep track of them when those items spawn back.
The communication part only works if the other ones aren't rambos themselves, and do listen, give feedback, etc. (basically if they do what you do), but otherwise completely agree with the video.
.... Battlefield is no way realistic. But compared to COD/Quake yes its another level. BUT have you ever played arma? i have played BF since 2142 and love them but i would not say any of them are as realistic as you say!

I think it's not fair to categorize Quake as just a run-and-gun game and equalize its gameplay with CoD. Most weapons in it are not hit scan based so it takes skill to kill your enemy, not to mention strategies involving weapon, health and powerup management. You do not spawn with maximum health and armor, you have to pick them up on map and keep track of them when those items spawn back.

I laughed at the Jet part so bad!
The communication part only works if the other ones aren't rambos themselves, and do listen, give feedback, etc. (basically if they do what you do), but otherwise completely agree with the video.
The bleeps are a bit too loud.

.... Battlefield is no way realistic. But compared to COD/Quake yes its another level. BUT have you ever played arma? i have played BF since 2142 and love them but i would not say any of them are as realistic as you say!
