nicely done sir! are you using a computer plug in or miking up an amp? either way, it sounds damn good. i have amps that only really sound good at volumes which would make the neighbors cry so its kind of tough to get a really full sound
@derangedband Thanks! These days I'm recording electric guitar through a Line 6 Spider IV amp. I record direct out of the headphone jack. The Line 6 doesn't sound that great to me when I play through the amp's speaker, but direct out sounds good!
I used to mic up my amp with an SM57. I had the same issue, I had to crank the amp to get the best tone - and you could hear it down the street! Recording with digital amp modelers is waaay more convenient!
@ChrisHollandMusic haha i thought it might be something like that! its a good tone! im also using an sm57 but on an vox ac30 going for a classic rock sound...i can try recording quietly in my bedroom (its loud on the quietest volume) or i can try carrying it to a recording studio (its too bloody heavy to carry!) still i love what you do and despite being shy of using solid state/digital recreations myself, you do get some pretty cool sounds! maybe i can try blended multilayers of both :)
@LevyTheAmishMan I actually don't remember which songs they played, I was just amazed with the dueling guitar/keyboard solos. However I do remember Alexi telling us how he was throwing up backstage before they went on because of his massive hangover.
Yo Chris, if you got time Id like to collab with you on some more covers.
Our Album rights are ours again in April. PM me for details or give my cell a
ring.

@LevyTheAmishMan I first heard COB when they opened up for Iced Earth back in 2004, it was an amazing show.

@ChrisHollandMusic Did they open the show with stuff from "Are You Dead Yet?"
