  • everyone should do themselves a favor and never pay any attention to andrew bain at all. arguing with him encourages him, its the fuel to his fire, dissension is the reason his ministry exists.(romans 16:17) tells us to stay away from these type of people "such people are not serving the Lord but their own appetite.he has been doing this for a long time and he has been warned many times.he is not gonna repent for his ministry.may God help him.just pray for andrew theirs nothing more we can do

  • Building up one another on your most holy faith. Which verse was that?

  • Mate! You've missed it!

  • Yeah Hyper-Calvinism is truly unscriptural and for cowards. Though I hold to Calvin's five points, I agree with you chookna. Friends, what if Christ came back today and asked you whether you gave Him anything to eat while He was in prison, what would you say? Did you do it, did you visit Him? That will separate the sheep and the goats. Please don't waste time bashing Godly men who spent their lives in service over semantics, because if you do, the Word states that you will not enter heaven.

  • Some eternal and unavoidable things can cause short term doubting at times. And then we repent and move on. This is like any other sin....the big thing comes down whether we have (primary) doubt or (primary) assurance. We are not yet perfected and far from it. We may be sealed in the Spirit but we continue to grow in the Spirit until that day we leave this place and we experience the fullest of our salvation in the next life.

  • I will use an example of a saint who falls into brain disfunction or mental failure and they turn into a veg & have no realization anymore of anything or no memory of anything learned. Are they not saved anymore? Or were they never saved because they now do not recognize their assurance? Alright, this is not an area of sin but there are things that hamper and distract and distort us in this normal life that are not direct results of our sin & those things can cause short tern doubting at times.

  • The only way I see that our assurance would be 100% and 24-7....365 days a year...is if they are already PERFECTED in this flesh. Doubting our salvation is the same as any other sin. It is not going to be dominant in our life after regeneration takes place. It will be very rare in most saints.

  • I see no flaw in what Spurgeon was saying at all. He was refering to PERPETUAL doubt or someone who doubts more than anything else. I realize that a believer must have (at least) PRIMARY assurance. No question about that. Certainly when a saint has some fleeting doubts through the confusion of sin nature, they must and will turn around and repent. Certainly. Assurance would always be a primary ingredient of salvation.

  • So this is like the third video of yours that I've watched and I must say you are one of the funniest comedians I have ever heard.....oh...youre serious? Thats just sad...

  • No one is flawless, theese men really tried to follow the word in the guidance of the Holy Spririt!

"And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brothers eye, but perceivest not the beam that is in thine own eye?" Luke 6:41

will you cast the first stone........

  • Hyper-Calvinism is unscriptural, false doctrine. It tends to flourish in intellectual pride and in neglect of soul winning, and is a symptom of moral guilt. It is Satan's effort to kill concern and compassion for souls.

  • So, ok, this is pretty double-sided... You have this video showing how Spurgeon believed fully in the assurance of Salvation, but then you have another video over here to the side that is titled "Charles Spurgeon's Doubts & his Attack on Assurance of Salvation"... You can't have your cake and eat it too.

  • What is your point in this video. It is not very clear at all.

I think Spurgeon is right on the mark here. He is saying that if you continually doubt you have missed the point! The bible is full of assurance, and we should desire it.

  • There is some thing amiss here.

  • LOL!!!! Crazy fringe Christians coming out of the woodwork on youtube....

  • Andrew you are not a servant of God. You are of the Anti-Christ spirit. You have been given over to depravity and a reprobate mind because you refused to repent of secret sins and now you are a seething cauldron of condemnable corruption. Beware Children of God of the False prophets like Andrew that seek to deceive the very elect. Your message is not born of the Spirit of Christ it is born of the Anti-Christ. I pray you repent of your damnable heresy.

  • LOL. You believe what you want. You believe that you're "God's elect." How convenient. You are a salvation by works and a self-worshiper. Salvation is easy. Easy does not equal cheap (Christ paid a heavy price for us). But you guys distort it.

Andrew is a very knowledgeable Christian, he knows what he's talking about, and he is on par with what I asked my own baptist pastor about salvation. I guess, using your failed logic, my pastor and our whole church are headed to hell right?

  • you really should learn more about different theologies and doctrines before you make false conclusions. Calvinism is exactly the opposite of what you said. it is nothing of us, of what we can do (nothing), of acts of our own, but by Christ alone. We are dead in our sins and God brings us out of our death in sins and makes us alive by his Grace. You obviously misunderstand Calvinism so it would be a great idea to educate yourself.

please take this constructively, as this is not personal.

  • He should read the scipures more carefully, WE are only humans with all the shortcomings we have, JESUS sees in our hearts, what wee seek, and we should not concern what MEN are saying

  • Here is what I find terrifying for you, Andrew: the men who you constantly criticize study Scripture for positive purposes and messages. I don't mean in Osteen fashion. I mean, they didn't live their lives to tear others down, as you apparently do. They preached Scripture because they loved it. You treat it like a computer manuel that means nothing to you. I'm done looking at your videos. They are utterly... dumb.

  • No, he's not putting people down. He's making an argument for salvation by grace, not works. You, like many other close-minded self-righteous "Christians" immediately scream 'HERESY! HERESY!" whenever somebody else has an opinion on scripture (Andrew's happens to be correct and backed by fact) you immediately damn them to hell. Get over yourself.
