I actually have just transitioned from chess to Table Tennis. I like TT much better because of the physical demands as well as the mental aspect of the sport.
I play Table Tennis professionally and I can tell you it is mentally draining. Trying to remember everything you have trained and practiced, adjusting each shot and trying to read every serve with all kinds of spin and placement!
Totally agree with you. I used to play chess, just before discovering table tennis. The disadvantage of playing chess, is you can not release the stress accumulated in the match, but in Table Tennis you release all the stress and you feel better physically. Good video
I love table tennis too, but to compare it with chess is not accurate. Stupid people would have a hard time beeing good at chess. I know for a fact that there are some very very good table tennis players that are very stupid.
Like many sports, the highest level of table tennis is Zen-like, namely requiring no thinking during the game. By the time you think, it's too late! Intelligent people, especially those who are intellectual or logical, tend to think a lot. They are good at analyzing the game before and after, but not during the game in which they play. All the intelligent talks about table tennis, like the aerodynamics of a flying ping pong ball, are useless!
@tyoungos What are you talking about table tennis requiring no thinking? Players like Werner Schlager rely heavily on their strategies and game intelligence...
Tyoungos uses bots to uprate his ridiculously nonsensical comments. Please downrate him. If table tennis requies 'not thinking' then why do they nickname is 'lightning chess'? And how are aerodynamics useless? I'd rather my balls flying in a predictable pattern, thanks.
This is true, but as a decent player of both games, I can say that I think that there are many similarities in terms of trying to outwit one's opponent...and the sheer diversity and level of skill involved in both games :-)
well i dunt think people who play both of them, like me, would agree.
Cuz TT also requires much outwitting and cleverness. STupid people may just know how to bash the ball...And may look good doing so, but the real legends....well its a different story there. Anyway, bad point mate :p
Amazing! This is a unique table tennis video. Finally, see someone able to explain table tennis to "educated" table tennis players. There is more in table tennis than knowing how to play and practicing to be good at it.
Can't wait to show this to my none table tennis playing friends who havn't seen me play and still believe its an easy sport were you don't need to move and just flick your wrist :)
i would not say 9000 per min, but rotation is high. the most secure kick is top spin because aerodynamics.

You talk like a fag and emphasis your 'h' sound too much. =[ Could of been better. Good video otherwise.

informative but excessively biased as to the 'variety' and 'complexity' compared to other sports. And yes, I like the table tennis.
