Damn crying shame. The first 30 Days didn't make over 100 million in the theatres, so they didn't make a second one. Now someone else releases some shitty direct-to-DVD. All because people are stupid and don't go to see the good movies. Fucking people go to see some piece of shit like New Moon in droves, while a potentially epic franchise like 30 Days is never realized.

Independent films from small studios have been great, yes. But when bigger companies like Ghost House make direct to DVD films, it's because they didn't put their best into it and they don't have confidence in it. I agree that direct-to-DVD isn't the same as "bad," but I just think they did such a phenomenal job with the first, that no matter what, these won't live up. And it's all because people go to the theatre to see the wrong movies.

@9natasha4 I know. I saw Dark Days and it sucked. It was just like any B horror flick. They subtracted anything unique that the first film wielded. The first film was completely unlike any vampire film to date, and the second oen turned that legacy into a completely forgettable B flick.

What I don't get about the second one is it really doesnt look like a sequel to 30 Days of night. It looks more like an entirely different movie.

At the end of the first movie a lady mentions, "Next they'll take out...." I think a better sequel would be for those same vampires to come back (omitting the leader of course) and take out that other town she mentioned.. This is like an entirely different movie. It should just be called "Dust to Dust"
