@hawksicken I agree! I have two cats and they're both on a regulated diet. I feed them once at 6am and once at 6pm and they each have their own bowl and split between those bowls is about 3/4 of a cup of food. One of my cats is a little heavy and the other is thin. Both are very happy and healthy!

its not animal abuse for the love of god. that cats happy as hell. this is really common among multiple cat owners. when a community food bowl is created your bound to get one glutonous kitty in the house. we had a 30 lb cat who lived to be 15. had a skinny one live to 19. as long as they are well treated and cared for and loved, i honestly dont see the problem with a fat cat. seeing as our fat cat lived FIFTEEN FUCKING YEARS and died of something unrelated to her weight (kitty brain tumor)
