I'm not as crazy as him but it's just over the little things, if my mom asks me to do a chore I can't put it off, everything has to be completely neat before I go to bed, I always have to be on the first page on my iPhone apps before I shut it off, little stuff like that
i have OCD. but its only little things. it sometimes arrgrovates me & gets in the way of doing things. but it's only over little things. for example, if it comes up, i have to do this thing 4 times otherwise it dosn't feel right. like sometimes when i turn on/ off a light switch, i have to do it 4 times. also, i have to make sure the window is closed before i go to bed, & my door always has to be a certain width open otherwise i worry that my cat can't get in or out and thats even if im not home
@SuperDonna07 me 2 for example: if i dont klick 7 times on and off on my lamp i feel like something bad is gona happend. If i scratch myself somewhere i need to scratch myself the same times on my other side. When i blink im accurat to never ever blink 3 times, cuase if i do that it feels like something bad is gona happend. And the worst is when i for example watch a move or program: if someone or something cross over my mouse before it disaperes i hafe to restart the video and reset my attemp..
My little OCD is like when/if I have the remote in my hand, I have to press the center button as many times as I can or when I think it is equal. I don't know why, but everything has to be equal. If I touch one wall, I have to touch the other. If I am walking up or down stairs, I have to count every step that I come into contact with. And if I see something that I have not made equal, i freak out And it bugs me until I fix it.
i had ocd when i was about 10-13/14 used to wash my hands for 40 mins for no reason, just had to get the feeling of being perfectly clean these kinds of clips really get to me cuz i've been through it and i know what a living hell it is, but then something just turned and i was able to do everything without getting these feelings, im 17 now and im perfectly fine with my life
I hate being in a crowd place, (people can be 5 feets from me and I feel like everybody is squeezing me, ( my family says that im scared of people)I better be sure before shaking someones hand,i wash my mouth really often, people in my house be complaining because I take a really long long shower,(60mins to 1hour and 42mins),i do this ritual to clean the bad thoughts and worries In my head, people at school be saying that im always (the perfect boy) because all my stuff is organize) and more.
Ok, I got ocd, I wash my hands 14 to 28 times before going to bed, when I get home from school (bus, subway) I take a bath, I take a bath before going to sleep, I fight or cry when someone sits on my pillow, I forceclose all apps in my phone before going to sleep, I wash my face to many times because im afraid of pimples, if im bleeding through a cut , I cant go to sleep, my family say that I waste to much soup, I cant touch nothing before going to sleep (people ).etc im 13 years old.
I used to have OCD real bad when I was 13. I repeated everything 3, 5, 7, or 11 times depending on what it was. I also had germiphobia, and social anxiety. I somehow got over it by myself, but I fear I may regress someday.
mines are rolling in the floor, scratch a lot, scream and make my arms move in a really weird way when i see opened doors, imperfect simetry or when i wear sleves
I would say my symptoms are mild, I don't always have to count for all thing, but for some things I do. I cannot touch a doorknob, I'm constantly disinfecting everything in my house and I cannot let any object go in a circle around me (I can't allow a person to make a full circle around me, either.) I also have severe arachnophobia and this horrible fear of getting sick. It really messes with my life and makes controlling my diabetes much more of a challenge.

Am I the only one that have developed the pattern that you can´t even out? It goes like a bow building bigger bows, it is built up by 4 points right (R) and left (L) L R R L R L L R R L L R L R R L The RLLR (LRRL is the opposit which tries to even it out) is the smallest bow, and it (with help of three other bows (2 RLLR and 2 LRRL) build one bigger. You can shorten the RLLR to a L bow because it leans left.
Does anyone here feel like they have to switch sides of the head when sleeping? Like I can't sleep on one side of my head for too long or it feels like it's being squished in. And sometimes I feel like I have to even EVERY physical feeling on by body out. Like sometimes when I hit my left foot I intentionally hit my right one to even out the feeling. It's pretty weird.
@MrMajent Yes, I agree. If I try to even out I sometimes make it a little bit more or less and I get so tangled up that I just give up, I get a very bad feeling in those situations.
@MonkeyEnus it's a living nightmare, like theres a big bully inside of you pushing on you to do something you don't want to do 24/7. Be lucky you don't have it.
I don't have much of a sense of humor (my dad has fun with me and I don't know it)
I tend to have thoughts of harming people of whom I assume will come to harm me (physically, like some one threatening me even though they don't even do it).
And I really love collecting swords, especially if they are sharp.
I had OCD for years since young and it got worse from 6 to 15. I had fear of germs like washing my hands countless times, holding my breath on closed spaces even in classes or some places indoor and it got worse when i didn´t want anyone touching me even my family. I also used to have compulsive thoughts and panic attacks. My brothers use to call me Maniac.
In my country i only find out of this disorder when i had 18 (i´m 28)and use to think i was the only one with this. Sorry for my english.
I have OCD and my tics are when i go outside my home when i lock my door i need to press the handle exactly 4 times otherwise i really get angry and shit and i need to do alot of things four times and i dont like watching this because he keeps doing shit 3 times and that makes me a bit angry to be hounest
i have like the same exact symptoms as you. i feel more comfortable knowing that im not alone. i dont know anyone else who lives near me who has it so no one understands my struggles.
@AKfourstring Really? I have never known anyone else with my symptoms. Especially the death thing.. I watch things repetitively, or research, and it always involves death somehow. Lately it has been Michael Jackson and the Titanic. I can't stop till I'm done, and I never know how long it will be. Very hard to work, live. I am comforted to know I am not alone too :)
I need to use white toothpaste and i am disgusted by gum but that fact doesn't bother me or anyone else. Doesn't everyone have some sort of OCD? Please enlighten me if im wrong, im a very curious individual :)
@TheUntrueFantasy Everyone has a little bit of OCD. However, if it gets to be the kind that interferes with absolutely everything in your life and causes anxiety or depression, it's time to see a psycologist.
I think picking and choosing things to be OCD/perfectionist about is the key to transforming this "disorder" into something that's actually beneficial.
I can be heavily OCD about certain things, but it has to be logical in order for me to commit to those actions. Other things that make no noticeable difference, I don't even bother with.
As Bruce Lee once said: "Absorb what is useful; discard what is not."
I think this is what I have. After I read or proof read something, it's like I have to do it repeatedly. Even when I lock the door, i have to turn the stair light on to double check, lock my car then check it, i misplace a lot of things, i tend to worry a lot, i have a few mood changes. I'm afraid that I could have more than one disorder. I have a lot of mental problems going on inside my brain, Other symptoms fall under bipolar, depression, anxiety or insomnia.
If regular people look at this video they probably think "wow this man is CRAZY", But they don't know what we're going through. It's so hard !! We know that we have OCD, and we know that we shouldn't act like that. but we HAVE to. Life sucks. :'(
I have OCD too. I'm on medication currently that helps I still have lots of problems. I have to have a special plan so that when I get anxious in school I can leave class to calm down. It can actually be dangerous. I almost walked into the street and would have been hit by a car if my mom hadn't stopped me. Because I was so focussed on walking in a certain pattern but without stepping on cracks that I didn't see where I was going.
And one more thing, for example, if I write an "E" and one of the horizontal lines don't touch the vertical lines, I have the urge to correct it, but I don't want to because it'll just waste time and it doesn't really affect how the teacher will see it, but finally I'll correct it because my urge is too strong. There's some more but I don't want to list out anymore, because I'll just be spamming the comment section.
After I erase something, if I see a very small mark that didn't get erase, I try not to think about it, but then I get very twitchy, and finally I have to erase it. I also have to make sure my things are neat and aligned every time. It's very annoying. But I' not worried about illness or cleaning my hands much. I almost always use the numbers 3, 5 and 10 whenever I do something, like when I eat mint candy or something.
Hey guys, I don't know if I have OCD or not, but I'll tell you my story. I'm 13 now. Whenever I walk around, if I'm on tiles, I have to make sure I don't step on the gap between two tiles, and if the floor is multi-colored, I have to make sure to step on one specific color only.
I have had OCD since I was 11. I am not 16. It drives me nuts, seriously. All I ever worry about is being ill. I don't have it as bad as i used to, because at one point (actually, twice) I stopped going to school for long periods of time. I used to worry that people in school poisoned my lunch, therefore could not eat it. I am much better now, probably because of the medication i take. I freaking hate OCD!! I do get Panic Attacks as well, they haven't stopped... yet.. I'm working on it!
Whenever I see a time on a digital clock I have to trace it in the air in four different fonts: my own handwriting, the Youtube view font, the Century Gothic font and the digital font (the way digital numbers are written). I try not to look at the digital clock, but I always end up doing it. If it's in the afternoon, and the clock says 16:35, then I have to write it eight times. Because I know it's really 4:35 in the afternoon. So I trace 16:35 four times then I trace 4:35 four times.
hey. i am an ocd patient too...suffering one hell of anxiety. compulsions there is a medicion Zolpidem (Ambien)..it called zolpidem in my country..its salt is ambien..for my brothers and sisters who are in various countriesit really relaxes and normalises u for some timeno medicine works for me like this..please try this..its an ordinary medicine for anxiety and sleeping but it really works
Initiating a campaign for the carriers of ocd and syndrome of tourretes. With the objective of concientizar the people what he is ocd and thus it diminishes the preconception.
All OCD is not as bad as his. This is the stereotypical OCD I didn't think I had it comparing to something like this. But I do just not like this. Mine is counting, spelling, repetitive watching/listening and death obsession. It's not fun.
@mrlmonroe I'm so happy to know I'm not the only one with that problem. I just started getting help for my OCD, and it's good to know I'm not the only one in the world learning to cope!
Harm obsessions with checking compulsions: If you experience this symptom subtype you will often have intense thoughts related to possible harm to yourself or others and use checking rituals to relieve your distress. For example, you might imagine your house burning down and then continually drive by your house to make sure that there is no fire. In addition, you may feel that by simply thinking about a disastrous event, you are increasing the likelihood of such an event actually happening.
I have been suffering from Moderate OCD for 20 years. Since I was 4. I was afraid of Dark couds, (tornado but I lived in New York lol) Zoloft is the best meds for OCD. Here is what it's like. AKM OCD- Mental hospital is good for you. Asap go there.Severe- OCD... See a doctor for metal care immedately. Moderate-, well but you got it bad but there is alot of hope. Mild. Get out of here you dont deal with anythin. Non-. Why are you even here?
my OCD is not cleaning its counting checking things and tidyness over and over ..but it comes and gos with me but it dose piss me off i cant help it ...
I have OCD and it is horrible, ill have thoughts and symptoms sometimes right when i wake up or when i go to sleep. Either way its a 24/7 thing it comes and goes when it wants, nad i hate how people just assume i have to wash my hands or have things all in order. They dont know that OCD is something that can branch out to make a person be anxious or nervous about anithing
when I take a shower I have to spin the hot water tap (on the left) 3 times out I can't relax..I feel my throat three times when I swallow sometimes..sometimes I have to click repeat or replay when I play parts of a song 3 times..flick a light switch 3 times or set my alarm and check it three times..but I've had it my whole life and I learn to live with it..it's hard though. I feel better reading everyones messages and knowing there are tohers going through what I go through..it's tough
If she doesn't have 3 orgasms while they have sex, he beats the shit out of her.
Also, I'm sure he's quite happy with his 3 kids, but wait, she's pregnant again! Guaranteed the first thing he's going to do is grab a coat hanger while she sleeps :P
Do i have OCD? I feel like if something isn't set right, i need to move it, and if something is wrong in a magazine i feel like itching it or whatever. It's a strange feeling, like i just have to do it...

lets get deeper so every video is about someone repeating stuff.... what about the part of OCD that makes you think of negative thoughts constantly its like you feel the world is against you and you never know if your being too paranoid.
its hard to explain to people somtimes that OCD really really affects our lives some people see me and think im normal but they have no idea im trying to hold back9 90% of my OCD
There is a Polish movie "Dzień Świra" (Day of the Mad) about a life of very similar guy, but much more funny. He has OCD and he's tired of life. It's available on YT, check it out: watch?v=aEtIsKGdMmM
i have ocd it is not that bad it is just frickin annoyingg i do everything in 3's like that guy but its different with everybody like if a light switch is off i turn it on anyway and then i flick it like 3 times i cant sit down until everything around me is perfectly straight and if things are mixed together like the m&m's in a package i eat them by there color or take them all out and seperate them and if i mess up an order i have to start all over again 3 times its annoying as crappp
OCD is a bitch. I started having it pretty bad (even worse then guy in the video) when I turned teen, but luckily my parents caught it early and sent me to a nervous disorder clinic. I've spent about a months there (they mostly injected some vitamin shit in my ass) and came back cured. I still have mild OCD where I wash hands a lot, and other small things, but it's not to a point when it's borderline nutcase type of deal.
Mine is checking the options menu at electronical devices all the time, like phones, cameras, consoles, games, computers, but only at the time I use them. Never had the thing about closing the door multiple times or washing hands way too much. Btw I don't have a precise count that I follow, but it's maximum at 30. The reason for my counting is to make a number the target goal to end the craziness. I think it's pretty ironic, but oh well. :)
this video is not funny if that is what its meant to be just say the symptoms dont act them out and make people with ocd feel like they are what ?? DISABLED because i have it and its getting worse D: ocd is not a good thing so if you have it you shouldnt be happy about it ok ?
You know this OCD stuff. Isnt it possible to overcome it??? Like just forget about it and move on? Like just try with all your might and resist from doing all the things you do?
@theisaac7k thats just it, u cant, no matter how hard u try. its a neurological disorder, not perfectionism. its like telling a random person to stop breathing: itll hurt like a bitch trying to and eventually ull have to give in.
When I was young I had to do a lot of stuff 4 times. That went away when I was about 8 - 12 years old. Now I instead have a "equal"-stuff going on. When I do something small with my left hand I need to do the same with my right. Same goes for it I put something on the right side of my desk, I have to put something at the left side too.
OCD can drive u friggin nuts I have it. Wen I was a kid i'd wash my hands to the point where they actualy bleed in the winter to avoid the feel of 'oil/grease'. I'd make my sister wash her hands then id have to feel them first before she could touch my stuff lol poor her. All my friends at school looked at me like I was crzy but I guess they understood im18 now panic attacks are the worst but wen I see im not the only one who has it, it makes me feel lots better(:
@juwhirleeq omg! my mum did that when i was a baby! she washed me every time someone picked me up and she would change me if someone touched me! she made my dad shower 4 times a day and she would use a tusse to open the front door & would wash the doors, tolite every time someone touched it! but now shes better! when i was a todler she made me wash my hands alot and i had a little bit of ocd as i grew up, but i wash my hands now only when i eat, tolite or public places like shopping places......
@juwhirleeq man you thank you! you understand! i have had about 4 panic atks in like.... 1 month. it got so worse one week i had it about 6 times for some reason. i am in Special Ed. Trust me SPED is not a bad thing. if your in it, doesnt mean your a retard, just means you have a mental disability. its not all bad. i mean im OCD as hell when it comes to organizing. I have ADHD OCD and EBD. look them up living with these are not easy not at all. add me as a friend :) i also have a show on youtube

@mikeohoh7 I'm not trying to get into an argument with you. I was just challenging your very narrow opinion on how you're the only guy who has OCD on this video.
And I was diagnosed. And I'm quite sure that some others were as well.
@mikeohoh7 Every morning before I got up for school I had to count every page in my book and read a chapter without blinking or else I though I would die. I dislike it when people such as you try to single themselves out and pretend that they have it harder than everybody else. You think you're the only here with OCD? Educate yourself, my friend.
Every one that comment on this vid is lukey I would rather have to do stuff 3 times compared to the OCD I have please help me I go crazy over a table being moved a vase being moved and nearly every furniture in my house and the only way for me to get rid of the axcintey is for me to move it back some one please fucking help me I'm 14 and I've think I have had it for 8 years fucking help me
Everyone's discussing OCD and whether or not they have it, and that's okay. I just wanted to say how much I loved the ending of this video. :) The video overall is well made. Informative without a voice narrating it.
ok im not trying to sound like a asshole or anything but.. i feel bad for people that have this for the simple reason that they might feel like a outcast or feel like someone making fun of them.. and that is the sadist part.. because grew up with every type of person there is out there.. and no matter what they do or what they into they are still human.. i watch this video to get a understanding of what ocd is.. and i think it showed me alot.. and i have bad anxiety..please stay strong every1
...to control my thoughts in case someone can somehow read my mind! I know it's stupid but I can't stop. It's getting pretty bad. I always think some random mad person knows where I live and is coming to not harm me... But embarass me. Stupid. But I can't stop. Help??
Do I have OCD?? Idk. That's why I looked this up. I have to check my bag at least 5 times, check everything is there by touching it. Even if I've just closed my bag, I open it back up again to have another look. I cannot stop it. I also check my alarm is set everynight. Again, around 5 times. I have make sure that I put my diary away and I contsantly worry that I haven't and someone will find it. When I text someone I have to repeatedly check I've sent it tothe right person. I even think I have
OCD is a nightmare. I stay up till about 5:30am almost every night because of my panic and anxiety attacks. When I lay down in bed I have to get up and check lights, plug ins, doors, and more over and over again . I hate it!! It's getting worse. Im sometimes even scared to go to sleep at night so I take naps. I wish it would just leave me alone.
@honeybunnyhj same here, before replying to your comment i had to click the reply button twice and i had to type the word "comment" twice. I shake my head really hard to get rid of the "bad thoughts" and i think its hurting my brain. In fact, i have a headache right now because of it. :(
@gieusrok Awwww. Im sorry. Mines getting a little better but not by much. I now have to check stoves and if the caps on the sharpie markers are tight. It's hell and I wish people understand how bad it can be. If you ever need to talk about your OCD to me just message me. And the bad thoughts things are terrible. I acctually met somone from my school who has OCD and I didn't feel as alone anymore. If it gets too bad talk to ur parents about it. But you can message me anytime. :]
I have really irrational compulsions, like if i touch the space bar three times with my left thumb i have to touch it three times with my right thumb, then the same with all of my other fingers :L i don't think it's OCD but i get a lot of compulsions like that and it's really pissing me off!
Just to give an example that happened to me today, i was playing some css, and then i shot at a teammate, didn't know it was a teammate, and freaked out, scared shitless that i just murdered a ally. I noticed that my confidence was shriveled down. In visual form, it would have looked like damp underwear covered in shit.
Couldn't kill very for some time until ii happened again, but eh, mild OCD.
i have ocd but not that severe i learned how to control it or at least hide it from others i dont like my disorder but i never used it to get wut i want and i learned that this is something that cant be cured but i learned how to accept it and let it become part of who i am and now i cant even imagine life with out it people say that its not normal but then again what is truely "normal"?
Before I had any clue what was up with me, I'd asked a few people what they thought given a few info about the things I do, they tried to tell me I was just selfish and thought I was better than. Now that I know what it is, I'm glad it's not that I just need an attitude adjustment :P
To be quite honest I love my OCD now... It feels like im actually doing a favor for the world organizing everything perfectly. Id make for the perfect desk job worker.
@Polaf3456 Sounds like you have OCPD.. it's a little different than actual OCD. With actual OCD, usually people HATE their disorder and it usually has to do with irrational things that don't make sense. OCPD (obsessive compulsive personality disorder) as they call it, usually involves arranging things in perfect order, being a perfectionist, etc but the person with OCPD usually doesn't mind having it and the "disorder" doesn't bother the person (also the rituals make more sense than OCD)
@Polaf3456 LMAO i feel like that cause i clean up after my parents and if i didn't live here it would look like a hoarders house.......but i'm moving out soon and hope they start cleaning up after themselves
@AshleyMariTheBest you just have to do that stuff like opening a door 3 times Someone who doesn't have it wouldn't understand. Why are you so ignorant? Just accept that people have it and move. Don't have to be an asshole.
@headspin22k I KNOW why not 5? That's the only good odd number to repeat. I either do everything in 5's equaling to ten or even numbers equaling to four. Also 12 bothers me. I usually tense all the muscles in my legs and feet 4 times for some reason
I'm not as crazy as him but it's just over the little things, if my mom asks me to do a chore I can't put it off, everything has to be completely neat before I go to bed, I always have to be on the first page on my iPhone apps before I shut it off, little stuff like that

MrMajent 1 month ago
@MrMajent Yes, I agree. If I try to even out I sometimes make it a little bit more or less and I get so tangled up that I just give up, I get a very bad feeling in those situations.

I'm trying to figure out what I have.
Lets see, I explode when I get mad.
I don't have much of a sense of humor (my dad has fun with me and I don't know it)
I tend to have thoughts of harming people of whom I assume will come to harm me (physically, like some one threatening me even though they don't even do it).
And I really love collecting swords, especially if they are sharp.

I THINK MY FAMILY THE CAUSE OF MY OCD
golf23101987 1 month ago
I had OCD for years since young and it got worse from 6 to 15. I had fear of germs like washing my hands countless times, holding my breath on closed spaces even in classes or some places indoor and it got worse when i didn´t want anyone touching me even my family. I also used to have compulsive thoughts and panic attacks. My brothers use to call me Maniac.
In my country i only find out of this disorder when i had 18 (i´m 28)and use to think i was the only one with this. Sorry for my english.

AKfourstring 2 months ago
@AKfourstring Really? I have never known anyone else with my symptoms. Especially the death thing.. I watch things repetitively, or research, and it always involves death somehow. Lately it has been Michael Jackson and the Titanic. I can't stop till I'm done, and I never know how long it will be. Very hard to work, live. I am comforted to know I am not alone too :)

Naama178 2 months ago

I even had to trace the time on the digital clock at the beginning of this video. In four fonts. :(
zomgseriosuly 3 months ago
Whenever I see a time on a digital clock I have to trace it in the air in four different fonts: my own handwriting, the Youtube view font, the Century Gothic font and the digital font (the way digital numbers are written). I try not to look at the digital clock, but I always end up doing it. If it's in the afternoon, and the clock says 16:35, then I have to write it eight times. Because I know it's really 4:35 in the afternoon. So I trace 16:35 four times then I trace 4:35 four times.

Just to give an example that happened to me today, i was playing some css, and then i shot at a teammate, didn't know it was a teammate, and freaked out, scared shitless that i just murdered a ally. Before I had any clue what was up with me, I'd asked a few people what they thought given a few info about the things I do, they tried to tell me I was just selfish and thought I was better than. Now that I know what it is, I'm glad it's not that I just need an attitude adjustment :P
