Prove they went into space - easy. All you need is are binoculars or a telescope, and in the evenings you can see the sunlight reflect off both the International Space Station and the Space Shuttle.

As for the comments about it being only Russia and America, well maybe best you don't mention that to the Japanese, the Canadians, the French, the Italians, the British, the Swedish and all the other countries who have and have had astrinauts on board the ISS
