Why has he been quicker to use government to help corporations than to help unions or other popular-democratic groups? Why does he buy into the "competitiveness" rhetoric of the capitalist right? After voting for Kerry, to derail Bush from getting a second term, I was solidly against trying to do the say in the Obama/McCain vote. I was almost sure Obama would be no different than Clinton (bill), and he would just continue things on the same course.
I think all real liberals have been sifted out of politics. Its only between the Mods and Cons. (What's the Matter with KS?) Moderates, pro-buisness/indifferent on social issues
Conservatives, pro-business/ outrages on social 'issues'.
I don't know if Barack is directly responsible... at any rate, exports grew--that could mean a few things--it isn't clear that it's because we've built _more_ weapons. Although, obviously, we're building way too many as it is.

Those weapons don't sell themselves you know. We have to find -some- way to funnel taxes to the oligarchy. Food subsidies are a great way to get rid of competitors but it doesn't carry the volume of cash required. We only sell weapons to the ruthless guys because they are the biggest customers. Our hands are tied.
now....are the guns going all to the American hands...or do they fall into the hands of the ...other ppl...follow it all the way through...with detail...because Obama is international leader...now if your senators (which are domestic and international leaders) were doing the same...i would actually be more concerned....
I like the mood of the video. Great way to tell the news. In France on the web some independant media told the same thing months ago. But noboby seems to notice or care about this fact. In France or Spain people still seeing Obama like some kind of Moises or Jesus Christ super star. I just dont get it. Even when things are told people still blind. It amazes me, cynical as I am, how Obama is just rolling over on every issue possible. Sure, I know he's a politician and I knew I was just electing a more articulate liar, but my God -- he's got no spine at all.
But then, who knows, maybe this is all just how he wants it. If that's the case I expect the public will become cynical once again and we will have the Republicans back in power for another decade or two.
Well... I suppose one good thing about this is that we can be glad that this sort of thing is actually shocking, whereas a few years ago... It probably wouldn't be.
