Oh my review of Foot of the Mountain, unfortunately not one of their better ones. It is good but not as great as I expected. Either way I still love A-ha those first three albums, STUNNING!

A-ha have never been away! This isnt any comeback! Ive loved them since the beginning and am enjoying their new album - my fave album ever is Memorial Beach - I love their more serious stuff.

The album debuted at number 5 on the UK album charts...so much for it not being able to break the top 40.

Shame we weren't talking about other European countries....Sweden, Norway, Germany or Austria.....though I think you would've been eating your words had they not have released it as a digital download first. Just my opinion.

Fair enough, britbomb. At least you can accept that some a-ha fans think their latest offering is pants. So credit to you for that.

Perhaps the digital download format only may have had something to do with it , but personally I think Analogue is a far superior single worthy of the top ten placing in the UK it achieved.

To me, FOTM is bland and hardly going to make a radio listener rush out and buy it.

There is no craft or passion to the latest CD, which is disappointing & surprising.

Can't say I agree with the last statement you made, but everyone has their own opinion.

My opinion is that track #3 on FOTM is probably one of the best tracks I've heard from any band in quite some time.. I WILL agree however that Analouge is a great track/album.

Beauty seems to be in the ear of the listener, it seems.

Foot of the mountain album is a mix of great pop albums like "hunting high and low" ,"scoundrel days" and "stay on these roads" . And its influenced with a little from Beatles,Coldplay,Keane,Elo... and of course a-ha2009

Um, the cover is OK. I don't have a strong opinion on it.

I have described the latest album as crap, but not "shit."

You have to ask yourself will the general public, that's not a-ha fans, buy this? Will it get radio play?

IMHO the critics are right - this album is poor.

However, if other countries like a-ha as much as Germany than maybe it will do well. We'll see...

I'm sticking to my prediction that FOTM single will do well to get into the top 40 in the UK.

you got to be kidding...this album has a lot of hits and is among the top 3 albums they have done. Regarding UK - i think this is the album who will do very well over there...lots of Keane and Coldplay here...or lots of a-ha is more correct to say. Bandstand alone is a monster song

One can truly feel the vibes of expectations in the fan camp this time, can't we? They are huge, knowing the guys have co-operated in studio again, worked TOGETHER just the way they did back in time when making the greatest hits in worldwide music history. This way, we may talk of a HUGE COMEBACK :-) Besides, I think we all want to see a-ha on top of the US billboard again with this album. If Coldplay can do it a-ha can do it. I mean, who taught Coldplay to make great music? ;-)
