  • tanzschule ,langsamer walzer ich liebe dieses Lied !!!

  • der war bei meiner Geburt auf Platz1 der Charts!

  • Only this song and ACDC's "It's A Long Way To The Top" have any shade of decent bagpipes in it.

  • I love the Mull and I love Paul and his song about it - thanks!

  • great sing along song, always love it

  • youtube not save to my FAVs,,????

  • @gremlinuk1968 i know what is up with that? I havent been able to save anything to my favs for 2 weeks now.

    maureen568

  • This guy is a musical genius!!nobody can disagree with that!

  • my favorite song from i was a child

  • My favorite song!

  • kenett everett?

  • @nightcrawler511 my last names everett...

  • What a beautiful way of honoring his heritage

  • im the real paul im in jersey working at rut hut

  • No life conspiracy theorists are funny little creatures.

  • Magnificent

  • I always get the goosebumps when the bagpipes come in

  • Shouldn't this be Scotland's national anthem?

  • I love this song and Paul is a god.RIP Linda

  • I love this song and Paul is a god RIP Linda

  • Paul always look young :) he makes my day <3

  • Paul said he thought it was kinda 'unusual' t release a Scottish ballad in the middle of a techno electronic sound effects era, but though oh well and released it anyway. The bagpipers he played with, all Scottish, told him "this un's a number one hit" and their prediction came true! People always make better music than a machine

  • Merry AfterChristmas Every One...... God ( in whatever kind You believe ) bless You all with a Happy New Year aswell :-)

  • Somebody earlier said that Mull of Kintyre was n't up to Beatles standards, yet it was a near worldwide #1, the 1st song to sell over 2 million in the UK and was the ALL time best selling song in Britain until 1984. Sounds pretty Beatles quality to me!!

  • @themitch1966 , the Beatles didn't do the song, Mull of Kintyre, Paul McCartney and Wings did the song.

  • @12jimmyk UUUm, yes, I know this. What I was saying is that someone had said this wasn't up to beatles standards. my reply was judging by it's sales and it's chart, it was pretty Beatle quality. I found it bizarre that you felt the need to chide me, but if it makes you feel better, then okay.

  • @12jimmyk , Sorry I misunderstood what you were writing and I definately wouldn't chide you, that's not my style.

  • @12jimmyk It's cool. Have a great day!

  • Ok, wait a minute. Stop drooling...

  • Memories. He may not live there anymore, but I often wonder what amount Liverpool tourism could attribute to The Beatles phenomenon?

  • fuckin murdering bastards mccarnties

  • My desire is always to be here. :)

  • @ThePaulCastle Mine too! I went there with my boyfriend just after the song was made. We both loved it...so many years ago, but what happy memories!

  • lovely :)

  • Que belleza de música y de hombre!!

    Love you Macca!!

  • WOW HE LOOKS SO HOT HERE! ;)

  • Its little known, but the Mull of Kintyre is the name of Paul's left ball. His left ball was called James.

  • Good song Paul.....But not BEATLES quality.

Just rest on your laurels...dont spoil a good thing.

  • Job done !!

    Marching on Together....

  • I was a child...and I was soooo frustrated not to able to speak English to understand...Great song and great Paul!

  • This is just Mull of Timperley by Frank Sidebottom and they changed the words a little bit.

  • Great song, but too bad Denny Laine didn't get more credit for his major part in creating the tune and lyrics. I try to like Linda, but never got the hairstyle she wore in the 70's or the way she portrays herself, as in this video.

  • It is a pitty that McCartney have not spent much of his time to folk songs, during his carreer. He would certainly compose other wonderful tunes like this.

  • I'm not a Scot, though I have been to the Mull of Kintyre, but this just sends shivers down my back and brings tears to my eyes - what a moving piece it is!!

    John O'York

  • AWESOME! Thanx Paul! RIP Linda

  • otra genialidad de paul desde youtube...la honorable sociedad

  • I just love it! =)

  • 0:50 -0:53 paul looks like my dad there

  • linda musica ! apos varios anos procurando achei {32 anos} estou super feliz

  • did you know Denny Laine started this song off because Paul used to take the band to his farm and there was nothing to do so Denny on another boring night founded the song off called bore of kintyre Paul later bought Denny's rights from the song!

  • another class macca song

  • this is the only song my clumsy hands could get on the guitar

  • Impecable!!!

  • love it love it love it<33

and love Sir Paul<33 he is soooo awesome<33

    great musician

  • if it's not Scottish . . .

  • der schönste song der welt kommen mir immer noch die tränen war ne schöne zeit

  • Du bist der beste Paul

  • in 77 punks hated this one... it s a good song ... some early 70s rockers start to sound heavier in 77 just to show that they are not that old... but Macca just dont care... He do what he want... and not what some people expected from him... and he proof in the 79 Wings LP that he knows how to rock harder as well... this is a real free man!

ahah i was just thinkin about black rappers (or Pakistanis) with this song loud into the stereo of their jumpin car...

    I like surealistic situations!

  • What is a mull of kintyre?

  • It´s a part of Scotland; Kintyre is a peninsula.

  • @dvideto It's next to the Mull of Timperley.

  • oh warmed my heart this song the bag pipes were so blessed loved the skirts who is this beautiful girl i know her so well.

  • great song but Celtic Thunder does it much more justice!!

  • when the bagpipes come in, what a thrilling moment!!! Neat song

  • Tears on my face too, when I finally got this great song for my birthday, my lovely cute Whiskey died. Still thinking of him so many years later.

  • Great great song! Tears on my face....

  • Good song...

  • Awsome song and one of the greatest musicians on the world!!! Thanx Paul!

  • IT'S NOT PAUL IT'S WILLIAM CAMPBELL THIS MAN IS A FRAUD THIS VIDEO SHOULD BE CALLED william capmpbell & WINGS - Mull Of Kintyre (1977)

  • @NormbrettaMod my first reaction was to call you a fruitloop. But I have to know...WHY do you think this isn't the real Paul?

  • @NormbrettaMod Ok so you think Paul Died. I remember the conspiracy theories but let me ask you this much. They get some guy called William Campbell in, give him plastic surgery and 'replace' Paul. This William Campbell goes on to write and record and play live..oh and his songs are just as amazing as Paul's. WHY would anyone go to such trouble??

  • @NormbrettaMod What about the voice? You forgot it. Find anything to do and stop saying shit!

  • @musicalglenn It was a crazy notion going about in the 60s. I think your first reaction was right :-)

  • it is about the south west area of kintyre the 'main' village is called cambletown,

  • If this tune is indeed 31 tears old..I can only say: What a great composer Mc Cartney still IS and can't but remain!

    Bernard

  • Gazelle 891 lifting and departing to the..

    white 103 blind call..

    Brings it all back..

  • It is a song by McCartney/Laine.

  • actualllymull of Kintyre is a place in Scottland it an old scottish folk song.

  • this song is about an area in schotland has nothing to do with his marriages

  • Denny is a good one! :-))

  • Did he not buy the rights to the song that he co wrote with Denny Laine when Denny was on his uppers for a minimal amount?

  • Yeah, he did. I think Denny was short of money and needed money badly, and he sold Paul the rights.

  • this is about the tune not Heather Mills, Love this tune x so chilled out hey

  • why you all talking about who he marrid he is who he is and that is a music master

  • nach 31 jahre immer noch sehr sehr gut

  • ya he should never have gotten married to that bitch, shes rich but still wanted some of his money

  • He should never have married that one legged geordie tart.......When I am 64..lol

    From another female geordie!!!

  • Ha ha I love Paul and when he got engaged to her I said in my mind Paul get a Prenuptial

  • He should at least find a woman his own age. That relationship was doomed. All these old guys looking to recapture their youth. But a prenup is essential too.

  • I thought the same thing, but I was trying to give him the benefit of the doubt..he was in love...but love these days is all about money

  • Linda was the best match for him...

  • I agree, but it seems like a lot of famous pop stars, initially marry someone near their own age, but later when they get divorced they do look for much younger women; Rod Stewart, Mick Jagger, McCartney & many more. I guess it boils down to they can really marry just about anyone they choose & they do. Not to say they don't have feelings for these much younger women but as the relationship grows &`dealing with the every day life situations, the age difference ultimately (does make a difference).

  • i would of took her leg off and hit her with it the cranked bitch

  • everton fan my axxe

  • bull..

  • Fantastic song! Shame I had to hear the most irritating person ever to be on the radio, Steve Wright! Get him off Radio2 he's a dinosaur!!!

  • As a yank, this song made me realise how moving bagpipes are. I have since gone out and bought every bagpipe CD available. (Amazing Grace on the pipes? Turns me to mush. -Oh! look at the 230 pound gorilla weeping like a girl!!)

Anyway, I just wanted to say it takes a Scotsman to play the pipes.

  • guys, get real

its on Top of The Pops 2 which was probably on about 10 years ago

the video was made in 1977 and it wasnt number 2

god i thought you music lovers would have guessed that already

  • WOW!!! This brings ME back to the Highlands......somehow.....If hadn't known better, i would have thought he were Scottish!

  • Does anybody know what this competition is on?

It says it's at number 2? i'm curious as to what number 1 is.

  • It was No. 2 in the charts in 1977..no competition..:)

  • Is this a lip sync? Look at 1:00 when he taps the guitar, it's slightly out of time, and sounds exactly as the tapping on the record. also the intro vocals do sound almost exactly the same as the studio version

  • Ya .. So

  • what do you mean "so"?

I wanted to know if it was a dub. Simple As.

  • Sorry, Didn't seem like a question..

  • he is probably the greatest musical living legend in the world

  • What a music legend. his recent songs- although very good, are nowhere near this standard. But whos are?

always makes you disapointed to think of all the other potential beatles that never made it.

this song in itself would be enough for any musician to go down significantly in history. Unfortunately for sir paul, it was just another tune!lol

  • i liked the rodney rude,s version of the mole of kingscross , aswell

  • His voice is so gorgeous and so is he!!

  • Paul you and Linda did this for a laugh, now its going down and a Guid old Scottish song, thank you and go easu own yerself as life is getting shorter , love him when he sang yesterday,

  • Anyhow it's a song introduced the Rhodium-disc in honour to that huge success. It's the best sold masterpiece ever of Sir however. I see that song as a bit overstepped this English tolerance and therefore achieve that status. People either love it or hate it...

  • I cry when I hear this song it is hauntingly beautiful! My Grandma died the year it came out, and I am sure Paul thinks of Linda when he hears it. Love you Paul!

  • the best song he's written after the beatles' breaking up...I LOVE YOU PAUL!!! xD

  • I'm French Canadian and I love The Beatles and Sir Paul. Always have, alwyys will. Going through my family records to see if I can find some English blood somewhere. Hehe. :D

  • Sorry...you know what I mean...British Isle .that region. Oh nevermind *sigh*

  • This song is bloody beautiful

  • This was the #1 song in the U.K. for years until Sir Paul & Stevie Wonder supplanted it with Ebony & Ivory. How cool is it to knock yourself out of #1?!?

  • Great song from Paul. One of his best. The B-Side to this song is Girls School and is also a great tune.

  • I love bagpipe music. It reminds me of when my family lived in Scotland.

  • only an ex-beatle could get away could get away with bagpipe music..aghh!..

  • Paul is now the the greatest r-n-r singer, besides Elvis..to date, Paul has over 100 copies sold..

  • Paul is the king of music...He sold more than 100 million records.

  • This was also put on "The McCartney Years." Thanks!
