I dont do this often but if im tanking something were i take to much damage i use aspect of the viper most the time were i dont do much damage so the pet is keep aggro alot better and you dont have to worry about mana sounds dumb but it works some times

This isn't a private server. Slimes were available as a pet through a bug awhile ago. Blizz fixed it already though.

if your not taking hits then why not focus more on mana so you dont have to stop and go as much i mean stam is important but i would focus more on mana because your pet is tanking and if you do start taking damage then just feign or shadowmend

Slimes are mostly the best tank pet you can find when it was tamable but now is not tamable anymore because blizzard thinks that slimes are too overpowered for a pet and their aggro hits are 5x the other tanking pets so they removed it from tamable.

I used to have one in the stables but it was removed after the patch was live , from what i know and heard from people that " pets that are not tamable but you already tamed it before the patch and the pet is with you , the pet wont be removed "

There are easier than Deadmines, try RFC, it has level 10-15 elites. The only downside that is if your Ally it is in the middle of Orgrimmar. I have soloed it many times on my Rogue even though he is alliance.
