I like this take on Mario. Nothing wrong with realisim unless it's done Chris Nolan style. xD Nah, but visual realism is something I'd wanna see in a full game.

They should take out the "SUPER MARIO WORLD.." cause it's not a 100% re-creation of the SNES game. They should title it.. "SUPER MARIO IN A BRAND NEW LAND, NOT ON A CONSOLE.. " ~ land.. cause it's just courtesy to not name it an existing Nintendo game, even though you want to. They should make up some clever Mario-ish name of their own, just for the sh!t$ and giggles of it.

@Luigiwoot I don't have to know how much effort goes into something to see that the end result is bad. I can spend hours on the toilet but the end result is the same. If nobody complained about anything ever then the world would be full of poorly made products. And anyways, I'm no knocking what this guy made, the textures are beautiful, I give it that much. But Mario is not meant to be realistic. Beautiful textures aside, the animation is poorly done as well as the sound.

Yeah, that's true, but there will always be outrage from people who don't appreciate it, you can't stop that. Remember when they made the Legend of Zelda cartoony? Everyone went ape shit about what turned into a great game. ( though that may be a bad example because of all the ignorant people who weren't aware of how cartoony Zelda was before Ocarina of Time came along )

This fan remake is awesome! I hope Nintendo remakes their classic NES games in 2.5D someday. The only NES games this has been done with so far are Bionic Commando and Prince of Persia, and ironically those are available for download on XBOX 360 and PS3, but not the WII. I own the Bionic Commando remake on XBOX 360, and it is awesome! Remaking more old games like this would revitalize them and spark new interest in playing them!
