Thanks a lot for watching! Indeed, time moves on, and so does the development of Josh's voice. Still, just as in the case of Tom, Michael, Ben Crawley and many more soloists, there are still the many songs that they contriuted to, on CD and in videos. And also, it is good to see that a new generation of choristers is now gradually filling the ranks, unfolding and developing their talents. Libera is an ongoing phenomenon, for more than 20 years now - awesome, right?

I am a huge fan of Libera. I really love the voice of Josh which it's truly amazing and very special. I think he sung this song extremely well because you can feel the purity of his vocals. However, having listened to previous versions of other songs performed by him I could really tell that his voice is changing to lower notes, which is not bad but one can really hear that he is not able to reach the high notes he did as child. But, that doesn't matter to me since I love his voice change.

I so agree with your words! Every song on PEACE is wonderful, but FAITHFUL HEART has a special quality still, and Joshua does an amazing job here. On Libera's album PEACE, there are only "Favourites" for me, because all the songs are outstanding.. They all have their special atmosphere and fascination. With two of the songs, I felt the wish to make a video for. FAITHFUL HEART was one of them. I'm glad you like what came from that.

sharon: Every boy is different. Some boys can lose their treble within weeks. So far as I was concerned is was very very gradual. I slowly lost the top notes and gained a lower register. A couple of months before I left school at 16 I was still able to sing with the trebles (though I had to strain for the high notes) in a school play. For all of us let's hope Ben's voice is one of those. It is quite superb and he clearly adores singing.

Thank you for giving this report about how you experienced the time when your voice broke. With me, this has happened such a long time ago, that I don't have any personal recollection any more. And I also did not sing in a choir.

I agree with you on your hopes concerning Ben, but still, things will proceed on their nature given pace. And this is okay. Ben will just take his art to the next stage then, just like e.g. Aled Jones did, becoming a wonderful lyric baritone / tenor.

We hear Stefan sing the solo in DEEP PEACE, and, based on this, I am inclined to say that Daniel sings the lead in the duet in this song here (the high notes, I mean), and Stefan sings the harmony line. But I may very well be wrong.

Well, if they release an official video to FAITHFUL HEART, we will find out for sure :-) ...

If the voice of a boy breaks, this is not process that is done within a day. It starts to develop and mature slowly, and the time this change needs is different from boy to boy. Ben and the singers of Libera have singing teachers and vocal coaches who help them train their changing voice in ways, that they still can make the most of their singing, even if these changes gradually alter their tone range and register. And so, Ben's voice is now fuller and stronger, but still bright.

This song is very special: The harmonies are so beautiful, and go straight to my heart. And the lyrics convey so much of the only thing that is really important in our being here: Giving love, and receiving love:

And to find, among the cold and hard rocks that so many people have in their chests, a faithful heart, is the greatest blessing we can receive.
