here in wa. i had 2 40 round american made mags and a 75 round drum delivered to my door. 1800akang eats dicks. check out cheaper than dirt. nice bumpfire
it doesn't suck where i live in Arkansas which has some of the most lax gun laws in the nation (we get pretty much everything but open carry). 922r is a federal law, it applies to all states. it is not just that the mag is over 10 rounds, but it is an imported rifle with a high cap magazine. this can all be explained in detail if you just google 922R gun law.
just because your gun shop said it was legal doesn't mean they know their ass from a whole in the ground
the geest of it is that, for a saiga, if you want to run high cap mags you must replace at least 4 of the russian made parts of the firearm with U.S. made parts. the magazine counts as three parts (body, follower, floor plate) so if the mag is US made you would need to replace one more part (example: stock, handguard, gas tube, hammer, trigger, or disconnector, etc.)
Thanks 94SexyStang! Even though this is a sporting version (longer barrel, no pistol grip, longer stock), it def is still the Russian made receiver and def still a blast to shoot!
Bump firing is a way to make a semi-automatic weapon simulate automatic fire. Here's what's going on: my lead arm is pulling the gun forward, pushing my finger against the trigger, while the recoil of the gun firing is pushing it back. By finding a nice balance between the two, my finger will bounce against the trigger at a rapid speed, thus simulating automatic fire.
I've been in the military for 19 years, I have an AR-10, CETME, FN FAL, M-1 Carbine and 1903 Springfield, they are all excellent rifles. I was never a fan of any "AK" type rifle until I fired a Saiga. I went out and bought one and it's just as good as any one of my other rifles and better than most (traditional) AK's out there.
Thanks Tyrone...I respect everyone's opinion, but it's nice when people like you share their opinions and their credentials. Seems like everyone is an expert on YouTube these days, right?
FUCK 922R laws man. The only reason half of you even know what 922(r) is is because fucking accessory companies have you afraid.

i hope you know that 30 round mag makes your rifle illegal (assuming you're in the US). look into 922R laws

anything over 10 rounds is considered "High capacity" and subject to 922r laws.

Colorado...the wild west out here. My local gun store said my gun is fully in compliance and my magazines are 100% legal. What state do you live in?

Saigas are russian made....far better than your crappy WASR's.
They are normally called knock-offs, but its very far from the truth.
