I dissagree, people seem to get tone mixed up with style of play.IMO tone comes from the guitar & amp . The wood, pickups speakers and amp design tube amp ect....

His fingers play represents his stye of play or music.To me Gregg plays great but is like listening to willie nelson songs they all seem the same.

I am convinced that 99.9% of tone comes from your hands. In almost every video you have, no matter what guitar you use, your tone is consistent.

I hate to call bullshit, but well, that's bullshit.I would give about a quater to each the pedals, the amp, the guitar and the player, and Greg uses the same amps and the Okko Overdrive (Terrible) in almost every vid which are particularly influential in his tone.

There is some level of "magic" to the art of guitar playing, but the majority is in the technical aspects of the equipment. You may deny that all you like, but well, you are a fucking moron, end of story.

@xXxjaytubenationsxXx In my opinion a confluence of factors determine how good one can improvise: one's dexterity and technical ability, one's knowledge of harmony, one's listening experiences and most important of all one's capacity to 'hear' inner melodies and then translate them through one's fingers..Greg obviously rates very high in each domaine.
