Supporters of al-Qaeda have said they would prefer Republican candidate John McCain to win the US election because he is more likely to continue the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan to keeps wasting American blood and treasure. They know McCain is an idiot like GW Bush
I'd like to see her go to Mass. - bluest of the blue, but also the founder of the country - or NYC, blue but where 9/11 happened, and see her say that to a few proud Americans.
I love how Palin explained what she "really meant". How the hell do you spin a comment like that? It is pretty obvious what she meant. There is not a whole lot of room for different interpretations when someone says "more pro-American areas of the country".
Man please! She specifically that she likes small town america because they tend to be "pro america and patriotic". Thats not spinning thats what she said. Just like Joe said everybody that live in this country whether you are in NYC and Chicago to Scranton and Fayetteville, evrybody feel the same way about this country. So fuck Palin. Stop trying to defend someone who messed up.
Yeah, it's so f*ckin weird and ridiculous. If you don't support the war, that should have never been waged, that had nothing to do with 9/11 you're unpatriotic. If you think homosexuals should have the same rights as everyone else you're unpatriotic. If you don't hate Muslims and Arabs you're unpatriotic. It's really sad, and I am so happy that Republican will become more and more irrelevant now and in upcoming years. They're the ones who are unpatriotic.
Yep. If you don't think and act like a southerner, you must be unpatriotic. Thinking for yourself is unpatriotic. Holding your leaders accountable regaurdless of party is unpatriotic. Expecting your prez and vp nominees to explain their plans for this country so you know what you are voting for is unpatriotic. If you serve in the military but don't support the Iraq war, you are unpatriotic. I guess being a true American citizen has become "unpatriotic".
I looked at my comment and it seems like it could be taken two different ways. I was saying that Palin was trying to spin an unacceptable comment, not that liberals are trying to spin an acceptable one. Sorry I wasn't more specific.
you can read about it on Huffington Post. A Washington post reporter got a "clarification" from Palin regarding what she meant...and it was really lame.
It's not about gaffs, he has made his share of gaffs and so has palin. The important things is sincerity. When Biden speaks his is genuine, he feels what he says, he is sincere. With Palin, her whole show is a drama, it reeks of fakery and dishonesty. It's ugly, very ugly.
that's awesome i wish i could have been there but he's very passionate about this country and it visibly bothered him that palin would insinuate certain states love this country less than the hardcore republican ones
Joe Biden is a disgrace!

I am tired too of all the implications the Republicans or Democractic sling at each other. Is this the Democractic process?
davidperi 3 years ago
Well democrats are the ones that pissed on the flag in the 60's while Conservatives watched horrified. I won't forget their anti-patriotism.

Conservatives aren't the ones who freed slaves. I won't forget that anti-patriotism.

wow it has been on the news all day- she even did an interview 'splainin what she really meant.
IMO-It was intended to a a soft blow. She is not hitting as hard lately. Still she needs to becareful to say what she means. Especially now.
I don't like her or McCain ..and I kinda take what she and him say with a few thousand grains of salt.
Just consider the source and let them dig themselves deeper.
