@ejacy sorry I should have prefaced my comment by saying Richie Hawtin was my idol years ago, I love his previous work. he is quite the innovator but the new 'minimal techno' fad is over. and has nothing on the real Detroit techno from the 90s

@dubconcrete you've got a point about minimal being over,saw Ritchie dj'ing recently and the sound was "fuller". But to me, this is just Ritchie doing his thing. Plastikman was "minimal" before "minimal" was invented! Detroit was, is, and always will be the techno benchmark.

I agree with @technoshitor and @dubconcrete in the sense that the hype is probably too big, a lot of ppl who dont know it will attend, and a lot of them will be disappointed because the music has a totally different feel/intensity/progression/pur­pose in comparison with present minimal/techno/house, and they will have a hard time understanding/appreciating it.
