No. If I were in a band that had such a large fanbase, I wouldn't be too flattered if every other compliment I received was about how great it is to get high to my music. Just appreciate the music. Get deep about it if you want, but don't make it out to be a druggy wonderland. It's degrading, and that's not what inspires Mogwai to do what they do. It's just a passion.
i read a review from mogwai about this album, and they said they have a lot of misleading song titles. this one is about love. but it also said that the music is about whatever emotions are evoked in the listener. i love post rock and mogwai.
when i listen to this song and close my eyes, i imagine myself lying in a crystal clear lake or under the stars in a meadow. that may seem kinda random but it makes me feel so peaceful and i really look into my soul.
I don't think it is so pretentious to say that... what's it like to hear people talkin' about great bands and comparing them to lady gaga... it's hell. Since popularity's progeny is mostly a vacuous product, you might as well want your gems saved from it. I apologize for my suboptimal english x)

You know? in some way is better to keep this underground bands out of the masses... cause you can come here then, and be more intimate, like a little sanctuary, dont you see? 6863 reproductions, and all of them, nice people.
I know what you mean - I often feel sort of possesive of the underground bands I listen to. When they gain wider apeal it often feels like someone is stealing something from me. The masses are not worthy of the genious. Of course, this makes me sound very pretentious, I suppose.
There's nothing beautiful about heroin, guys. Terrible description.
