@2dogsaf Hard to disagree with your comment. He has played all over North America and Europe and is loved by so many people. His songwriting ability is incredible.
Gord's one of the few musicians who is so fantastically talented that he sounds just as great live as on recording. Long live Gordon Lightfoot. Love this music beyond words.
That voice!!!! man what a voice! so distinct deep and soothing. As good a songwriter as any. One of Canada's greatest contributions to the world of music.
I love the classics. Most music today doesn't come close. But that's what happens when all the good stuff has been done. It gets harder and harder for todays musicians to write something good without it sounding too much like something from the past.
My dad made me listen to Gordon Lightfoot and everytime i listen to him it reminds me of my dad <3 x music doesnt compare to this music and im 15 and love the classics
Oh my, I grew up listening to Gordon Lightfoot....what a beautiful voice and what a tremendous talent....both as a singer and songwriter....thanks for the memories :)

What a vioice! Add the lovely finger-picked guitar, and a pretty, haunting melody = gooseflesh.
