Nice to know that you just took 5000 miles off the life of your engine. When an engine is cold it is not oiling properly because the oil has not yet become the proper viscosity. Also, the metal parts of the engine have not heated and created the right tolerances yet. Rapid heating of these parts is also bad on it( like holding it to the floor while it's still cold). Between these few things, and the high revving, it is bad on the engine. Let it warm up the next time please.
@abenaway To be completely honest. I don't. But, I decided to think for myself and infer. There is still snow covering all the windows that you can see in the video, by the time the car warms ALL the way up, the defrosters most likely would have melted off the snow. If not completely, some of the snow would have been melted off. Also, when engines are cold they blow white smoke. This engine was blowing LOTS of white smoke.
@abenaway There is always the chance that he didn't turn on the heater, or electronic defrost, and that the engine does blow white smoke when warm, but, there's also the chance that it's not.
