  • What the heck is that ???? That is no puttycat !! :(

  • when did big wild cats become pets?

  • @theeachuisge ancient Egyptians used to domesticate them like 5000 years ago

  • @petah333 yes but it was 5000 years ago. and also we live in houses and flats in 21st century.

  • @theeachuisge all im gonna say is go to "SERVAL CAT CHIRPING FOR TOY - VERY CUTE" quote-unquote.....im looking at it right not. Tell me that's not the CUTEST thing you have ever seen :)

  • @petah333 yes it is so cute !!!! but still does not look domestic to me,sorry :(

  • It looks like the best cat you could possibly have as a pet!

  • Declawing is something that should not be done in an adult cat. It is more painful and unless done with new lazer proceedures, can bleed alot. If you do chose to declaw, the cat should be young to minimize bleeding and recovery time, and should ALWAYS and ONLY be an indoor cat. I do not agree with it, but it is helpful for therapy animals. Again. Its a choice that should not be made lightly at all.

  • He is a player but has to have good claws.

  • @erfarome its not really expensive to people with good jobs

  • Muy bonito, pero peligrosillo ¿no?

  • That is the most endearing, stunning thing I have ever seen - I absolutely adore servals. You are so lucky to have that gorgeous creature!

  • I actually ate my mommy:)

  • this is how I play with my cat and she isn't a serval ;)

    (and she isn't declawed)

  • Holy crap that wild cat is cool, how come its not biting you???

  • @yearonemusic do you bite your mommy?

  • awww good kitty :)

  • Wish I had a serval..

  • Can you let a serval run loose outside like a normal house cat? Just curious.

  • @cksilverado1 It will never come back

  • Oh , das ist ja herrlich , so ein schöner Serval . Würde auch gerne mal einen besitzen , nur könnte ich keine ARTGERECHTE Haltung ermöglichen . Kann leider kein Englisch , deshalb hier in Deutsch .

  • I wish I could own a serval someday. they're such amazing, beautiful animals! (I know they take a lot of work, but I'm confidant I can do it!) ...I hope it's not true, though, but I heard they're no longer legal in my area...I can only hope that someday I can get one...

  • This lady doesn't look like shes happy with her 20,000+ doller cat

  • @chizoioioi Most Serval kittens are between 1,800 and 2,200 dollars.

  • @chizoioioi Yeah, it's the Serval x Tabby which costs 22,000. Seams odd. Why not get the pure serval?

  • @giantsfan245 servals run up to 2,500

  • Bonus points for using the Chris Ledoux version of this song!

  • this seems small for a serval... is this really a savannah or just a small serval? I thought they were a bit taller.

  • Awww you can tell he/she loves you. Just by the way it lets her handle him. :)

  • @timfosho Lol. Does it look like it's trying to kill?

  • Im always suprised when the video comment section becomes a dialog of conversation....

Great animal BTW. As long as you take care of it the best you can and care for it...I'm satisfied. Thats an amazing experience to have.

I WANT ONE!!!! But ya know...I have come to learn that they are only cute....when they aren't yours....

Keep the vids commin. Lovin ur feline friend!

  • um.. this is not a serval but a savannah?

  • i think those cats are too big to be kept as a pets. Cats unlike dogs are never fully tamed, they bite and scratch just for fun. It's not so bad when its small domestic cat, but that one looks almost like a cheetah

  • @zwariowanywampir wtf. yeah thats great its fur looks like a cheetah. Its no where near as big as one. People can have any pet they want as long as they know what theyre getting into. Just because you dont want one doesnt mean others shouldnt be able to keep them.

  • @sk8ergangsta2003 i don't care if someone keeps a rhino on their backyard, but i still can think it is a dumb idea, EH?

  • @zwariowanywampir Yep, that doesnt mean it is. And theres laws made for that. Servals pose no real danger.

  • @zwariowanywampir U act as if they aren't manageable. It depends on the person. Some people are great with wild animals, and know exactly what or what not to do. A domestic cat or dog needs no second though. An animal normally in the wild requires lots of study, patience, and the will to take care of one. These animals aren't for everyone. But for those who are willing to put in the effort required, I see no problem.

  • @WisdomThroughLogic they are not for everyone, but they are available for everyone. I hate law regulations when u cant do this, and cant do that, i'm just saying, that perhaps mixing domestic cat and wild cat and keeping it as a pet, just for the sake of it looks, might be an idiotic idea.

  • how much does the bite and scratches hurt?

  • That poor Serval. Shouldn't be kept in that small house to live it's life.

  • Mindless people keep wild animal as a pet.

  • she had something in her hand and the cat wanted she also signaled to the cat from the table .. basically that cat is trained

  • you can get these declawed right?

  • @MrEfrobel WTF? You're not a cat person. Get a dog.

  • @schl0tte i am a cat person i own 2, saved one from a store owner that was going to kill it cuz it was putting mice in the dirt in his plants, i just didnt know if people were against it for these cats, i think that these cats would be a pain if they had claws

  • that is the worst Life is a Highway version ever

  • What is his name? His nose makes me think of "Rudolf the red nosed reindeer"....Rudolf, would be a cute name for a serval

  • wauw thats a big cat and a cute one

  • Wow, you have an amazing serval, ever since i saw my first exotic cat I've wanted to bring a serval or a caracal into my life and into my care.

  • Aw, it's like an oversized kitten.

  • Big and dangerous

  • I want one !!

  • is it hard to tale care of one of these cats?

  • dat is big cat

  • how does someone get a serval? do you need a special license?

  • @AlexisAz623 You don't need a special license, because they actually ARE a domestic and REAL cat breed, they are no longer a hybrid and are now a real breed.

People call it a serval, but it's called a savannah cat, which is a mix of a serval and of a domestic cat. They can cost up to 20,000 dollars.

BUT if you want a serval, not a savannah, then yes, you need a special license and they are a lot harder to take care of.

  • what is that one? a A1?

  • what a beautiful animal take of him.

  • its like a cat, only it will try and kill you as you sleep

  • i love serval cat

  • does he have his claws? just wondering because of the way he plays with you.

  • I have a Savannah and i lover her but no way i would get a serval i have too many little kids runnin around, my brother just put a deposit down on one though I cant wait to see it!

  • jesus christ thats scary

  • WOW!!!

  • Очень плохо что этот Сервал приучен играть с руками!!! Смотрю и по лицу пару раз лапами провёл!

Ох уж несладко будет если ничайно укас нерасчитает или когтём зацепица!!!

    Я бы его дитей неприобрёл!

  • @juaira

Нармальный сервик - они все такие игручие. Есть еще наглей экземпляры :-)

  • You have very adorable and cute cat!!

  • @SuperGaryOak they are amazing pets to have. if you dont have one, you could never imagine. k, thanks.

  • @SuperGaryOak It's a cat, granted serval's are big, but still cats.

  • is it f1?

  • @TheMarketmaker It's serval not a savannah

  • Imagine how awesome it must be to jump like that?

I like Servals in general, and this Serval in particular.

She seems very smart, with a great personality. If you're willing to meet them half way, that's all it takes for any animal to be a good friend.

  • servals are the best pets. always stalking you, tryin to bite yuor legg off. loveabl devles.

  • such a cute cat

  • Wow I love you cat !

  • I love these cats !!!

  • beautiful!

  • this cat pwns

  • Highly precise jumps.

  • kitttyyy:)

  • i love your kitty!

  • i've been wanting one of these for years. they're one of the more easily 'tamed' wildcats! thanks for posting your cat!

  • nice

  • my Runescape account name is: Servalcat24, they r kwl

  • that serval looks like it has a good life. HUGE cat. HUGE

  • My fired had a tiger a few years back. When is got bigger it was too much to care for. Destroyed their new BBQ to get at the grill grease. Him and his wife both looked like slasher victims. They eventually had to donate it to some kind of tiger caregiver where it was to spend the rest of its life in a cage being neglected. Long story short, that tiger is no longer with us. The story was huge headlines a bunch of years back. Poor kitty.

  • these aren't tigers they are kitties :D just a bit bigger than normal ones

  • they aren't kitties they're wild african servals. they're territorial solitary felines - males and females spray a lot. Most are destructive and cause a lot of damage to homes. Most owners opt to get them declawed which is a painful amputation of the last segment of each of the front paw digits and can cause painful complications and increases in undesirable behaviours.

  • First of all declawing isnt as hurtful as you make it sound. Unless you have a cheap vet Serval's have no problem with it. Also they dont spray as much after being spayed or neutered. People are too harsh on these cats. They have the ability to be tame and good house pets only if the person owning them puts in the correct amount of time. They are certainly not for people who expect to treat them as a normal domestic.

  • I agree with everything except the declawing. Declawing is horrible.

  • @humanpotential7 would you rather get scratched up?

  • @WisdomThroughLogic it would be like ripping off your finger nails covered in what feels like lemon juice and bandaged up for 2 months. yea i would rather get my nose riped off then put these beautiful animals in harm

  • @zxcvbnmjfjf Your Extreme. A cat in captivity, with its claws removed, is a safer animal to its environment. (since that environment is provided by humans). If the claws make it unmanageable, and the owners pass it on to the wild, or to an overcrowded zoo, or it needs to be put to sleep. De-Clawing could be the best choice for it's survival. Id rather declaw all the servals that exist than get my nose ripped off. HA.

  • @WisdomThroughLogic since your name is wisdom thru logic i think in time you will realize you are wrong on this one

  • @thisgame2 I kinda worded that wrong before. But as a guy who raised a Pixie bob, and a bengal, & a Serval. I would have to say that De-Clawing was necessary. There was many of times where the cat got spooked, or I made a wrong move. Whether the cat was playing or not....had my serval had claws, I would have been in deep trouble.

  • @WisdomThroughLogic You should just clip the claws. Almost as easy as clipping your nails. Almost...!

  • @zxcvbnmjfjf I agree if you are going to have one then you have to be willing to except the fact that there are risks. just like owning a x large dog. you dont see people pulling there teath because they could get spooked and Bite your arm off!

  • @humanpotential7 Agreed, I'm not particularily against it for domestic cats but if you're going to invest in a wild-oriented cat you have to be that fair at least for it to keep its claws. Plus would serve as a good guard cat. Hahah

  • @humanpotential7 yes, while having your face, arms and hands shredded to ribbons is fine.

  • @furQ If you don't wanna deal with the claws, don't get the cat. :P Declawing is removing the last toe digit. It would be like taking an annoying kid who won't stop scratching a chalk board to have all 10 fingertips removed (called the distal phalanges). Annoying and/or painful to deal with the claws? Yes. But declawing is a nasty procedure. I'm a veterinary technician so I see at least a few of them each month.

  • @humanpotential7 I know a woman who worked with bobcats her whole life (aka an expert). She did not declaw and one day one of her cats slipped out of its harness, when she grabbed it, it got nervous and shredded her arm. She had to plea with the doctors not to amputate it... it is now forever fused together. Yes it is a risk in our profession, but if we did not declaw, we would not be able to interact with our big cats and every time we had to, we would have to sedate them.

  • @88osprey Either accept that the animal has claws or dont get the cat.

  • @humanpotential7 the 2 I have are rescues, I would rather them be declawed and bonded with handlers than stressed out and miserable... please stick to what you know (house cats or parakeets or whatever that may be) and I will stick to my expertise

  • @humanpotential7 Mine are 2 rescues... If they were not declawed, they would be constantly stressed out with sedation and absolutely no handling. Please stick to what you know (house cats, parakeets and whatever else that may be) and I will stick to my expertise and trade

  • @shadowofameow

How do you know? Have you had all your fingernails removed? Easy for you to say it doesn't hurt that much. You obviously have not been in a vet office when some declawed cats come out of anesthesia screaming in agony.

  • a cat that behaves like a dog, i definitely want to own one.

  • CAN U GET THESE CATS IN ENGLAND?

    xxx

  • WTF? Is he declawed? I can't understand why you don't have a million scratches on you right now...i'd be screaming in pain....I have a normal house cat who plays like that with me.

  • I think when cats play they dont stick the claws out

  • How did you get your hands on a serval?

  • how much did you pay for your cat?

  • You don't know how to spell.

  • jump a lottt!!! so nice dude

  • Adorable...yet deadly.

  • Not really because they are a very small wild cat.

  • Are vaccinations and shots possible for these cats?

Is their prey drive high...............read potentially destructive or dangerous to other pets?

  • oh my gosh this is the coolest! i want one so bad! you're baby is beautiful! love everything about this cat!

  • i want one i love servals and kitties and all that stuff im so jealous of you ugh

  • There's a jungle cat in the bathroom!

  • is this really a serval? or is it a savannah cat? (crossbread of a serval and a domestic cat)

  • It's a serval.

  • sooo kool, nice serval !!!!

  • can u keep it with a pitbull at home?

who would be stronger and dominant? a pitbull or serval?

  • where did you get this cat 0_0

  • These cats that are pets are born in captivity, they are not wild caught. Servals make great pets and have been used as so in Europe and Egypt for hundreds of years. Yes, they need a good amount of exercise just like a large dog, but that can be accomplished even in a suburban setting. While these cats are certainly not for everyone they can thrive and be happy as pets for 20+ years.

  • You can to domesticate them how do you think we have domestic cats, you obviously have no clue what your talking about. You did have a point about declawing though.

  • maybe you should think for a second, you don't know the story adn neither do i but it COULD be that she found the serval as a baby, alone, and it wouldn't be able to survive without its mom so she took it

  • but these cats have an extreme liking towards people. and youre not allowed to have one if you dont have enough room for it legally

so im not too concerned with that

  • I want one of these cats so bad!

    they're so beautiful.

  • I hear these cats are very wonderful pets. Very loyal and loving compared to domestic cats...

Only problem is I heard they spray their urine a lot, is this true?

  • even some normal cats do that it's a personality thing i think

  • you could get them spayed/ neutered, im pretty sure that stops it

  • wow his arms are so long

  • You are so lucky! Servals are wonderful cats....How do you feel about having a serval living in your home....was it hard to adapt to? Or are they similar to domestic house cats?

  • that catis awsome

  • where can i buy one of these?

Alot of states do sell real African Serval Cats but Others don't, You may want to find a true trusted exotic breeder So you can buy your Serval, and They do cost 2,000 to 3,000 dollars or If your lucky you can get one for free and There's training and Lisencing, They only want good trusted people to take care of these wild animals.

  • So you basically have the option of a used car or a cat? haha :p

  • Beautiful animal. =)

  • Oops! that was in reply to afthefragile :)

  • Can you have company while hes inside, or do they not like strangers?

  • Yes, I can have company but he's not thrilled about it.

  • both the serval and the redhead are very cute

  • Well lets see now African Serval cats cost 2,000 to 3,000 dollars and They only take trusted people to care for these wild cats

  • a big cat like that can it dog

  • how much are these cats?

  • I love this Animals very much. I thought about to buy a Serval, but here in Germany a Serval-Baby kost 7000 ,- €.

Fakt is for me, a serval is the much faszinating and beautiful Wildcat of the world.

    b.r.

    Steve

  • But saying that, the person in this video seems to have a really good relationship with the cat so that looks good. Just hope she maintains it throughout the cat's life!!

  • I say one should really consider it hard and through before thinking of domesticating a wild animal for a pet. Wild animals are very hard to take care of and if not given proper attention and care, will end up self harming and this is the reason why most of them end up in rescue homes.

I thinking of getting a Cockatoo as a pet too but upon researching more about it i found out how they're one bird that is just not suitable as a pet as most of them end up in rescue homes so i dropped the idea.

  • Cockatoos make fine pets - it all depends on their individual personality - I'm from Australia and my great gran had a sulphur crested cockatoo - for some reason it didn't have much of a problem with anyone but my nanna (bird owners' daughter)- who it used to chase whenever she came in the garden gate :)

  • Cool serval! Does he jump on fridge often?

  • Yeah. It's one of his favorite places to lay.

  • Beautiful Serval...and lizzi is right when she says you can tell that cat loves you. I have had cats all my life and I look forward to one day raising a serval like you.

  • Wow I see that cat really loves you :)

  • servals are my favorite animas in the world! they have been ever since last year when i saw a picture in an add i saw. then i learned more about them and have been my favorite! i want one so bad! they are so cute!

  • They won't be cute once they destroy your house and maul your neighbours. These are not domestic cats, buddy.

  • OMG I WANT ONE!!!! where can you get them? and how much are they? do they eat cat food?

  • Hey your serval is amazing... I got a normal cat, big and fat but he loves me so much, I want a Savannah cat... but I live in Venezuela so I think is hard to find one...

  • Thats a cat? she amazing

  • its not a cat its a serval

  • My bad?

  • love em

  • Does this Serval usually play with you with claws? It look scary cos I had a domestic cat with much smaller size did hurt me while I was playing with her. Serval is much more bigger and stronger, so I guess it would hurt or not.

  • probably he/she is declawed.

  • cats play with their claws retracted so thats probably more like it...

  • Not always, sometimes they get high and start to use their nails. it happened to me with some cats they use their nails when playing

  • cuts and scratches are expected when playing with a cat. any cat.

    stop being a wuss.

  • adorable!!! I am pretty dead set on getting a serval. they seem like great companions. :)

  • Spotsallover,

I'm guessing that having your serval declawed is pretty much mandatory, if you value your flesh and furniture?

I really don't like the idea of declawing, but I guess a pet serval should never be running loose anyway. I wouldn't have to worry about him being able to defend himself or climb.

  • Yeah, it's very difficult to medicate a serval with claws. And, no matter how good their care is, they are going to get sick at some time. It's hard enough to deal with their teeth.

  • Your cat is amazing!! Where did you get him/her?! I want one!!

  • If your gonna bitch about someone having a serval, which is really none of your god damn business, i suggest you stay off of youtube. if she wants a serval its really not for you to decide.

  • I dont see the problem in having one. All animals started as natural then some became domestic.

  • I don't care if servals can live with people. There is a reason why Savannahs, Egyptian Maus and Bengals exist. This beautiful animal belongs, better yet, has the right to experience living in the wild.
