  • jordan and magic gone 94, and 95. that must have sucked

  • a little denzell washington going on ahah .

  • Wooo!!!

  • He left for mafia reasons. His dad was killed to prove he had to pay his gambling debts.

  • @UDubFootballFan yeah, it makes sense...first thing you do if you owe money to the mafia is quiting your job

  • You motherufckers are so dumb. He was SUSPENDEDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD FOR GAMBLINGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG ON THE BULLSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS, A.K.A. LIKE THE PETE ROSEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE O FBASKETBALL. THAT'S WHAT REINSDORF MEANT. FUCK THIS LYING ASS MOTHERFUCKER. I'M FROM CHICAGO AND FUCK HIM. HE'S A LIAR.

  • Does anyone know where I can find Jordans 1999 retirement?

  • just thowin it out there was the death of jordans dad connected to his gambling

  • @videosensei Yeah thats the real reason he went to baseball. When he was a kid his dad wanted him to play baseball.

  • harsh conspiracy

  • You know you're good when you retire because you get bored

  • It's crazy cause in 4 str8 yrs we lost a great NBA Star to retirement 1st Magic in 91, Bird 92, Jordan 93, and Isiah Thomas in 94

  • this might have been an under the table suspension for gambling. i mean if you want to spend more time with your family, baseball isnt the way to go. you have less time.

  • they were saying that this was fake because they were saying he came back in disgiuse as michael kilroy

  • It's was so cute that he did that for his father. RESPECT !!

  • @49AN0NYM cute?? Michael Jordan admitted he still would have retired at that time. I think maybe his dad got killed due to Jordans gambling debts

  • @JLeeMagnetic Ok that is your opinion, I accept it. But I think it is such a nice gesture to do so.

  • @JLeeMagnetic gambling depts... yeah lol maybe he owed spike lee one decided to give those knicks a chance.

  • If you really want to know why Jordan retired watch Michael Jordan vs Jerry krause vs Phil Jackson the demise of the bulls. I think everyone deserves to know the truth.

  • @Dancestudent08 don't make yourself a fool. conspiracy in basketball LOL.. the truth is he won 3 titles in a row, after his 8th nba season he was considered already the GOAT ... and its NORMAL that the HUGE superstars loose motivation at the age of around 30. look at maradona or ronaldo or ronaldinho.. they where so good in young ages, that at around 30 they already achieved all and you could see it in their game.. it maybe was good for MJ to leave for 1 1/2 seasons.

  • @alluvialedaempfer While MJ retiring did shock the hell out of everybody I dont know why some people act like retiring at a young prime age is unheard of Jim Brown bounced to do movies at 29,Bjorn Borg left at 25,Sandy Koufax left in his prime too. It was pretty obvious from when he started winning titles and fame grew and demands on MJ grew as well he looked fed up with alot of that, he was also a grieving man people seem to forget that part of the equation

  • @sportstalk23 well buddy that's basically what i already said : )

  • @alluvialedaempfer I was agreeing with your comment including the motivation aspect and the retirement being good for MJ, him coming back especially with the trials of these guys he would have been hassled about those killers on the regular, how he was handling the situation that alone would have drove me nuts

  • @sportstalk23 jim brown quit because the browns owner personally demand that he came to training camp, when he knew Brown was filming a movie. Brown didn't want to stop playing football, he just didn't want to be told what to do. And the Browns have never won a title since.

  • LEND-A-EAR-ND-CHECK-OUT-MY-SONG-CALLED-MJ!!

  • Jordan quit basketball to ride a bus to hit .138 in the minor leagues? His dad "died" on the side of a road while taking a nap in the afternoon heat siitng in his car.? Jordan was a ballhog because he had MONEY on the game. He lost millions of dollars playing golf against Russian gangsrters, and would not pay them. His old man got whacked by some Ukraine in this country for a week, who later got whacked. But when it comes to Jordan and Iverson, black people's second coming of Christ.

  • @Ciaresayton dude just shut up your a douche

  • @Ciaresayton Youre an idiot

  • i think michael is doing the right thing

  • Gambling Gambling Gambling I think people throw those words out like its a big scary word

This whole damn country gambles big deal if Stern was so concerned about MJ gambling why did he let him by a team

Why did he actively try to get a team in Vegas no conflict there lol,and who suspends somebody secretly? The whole point of suspension

Is for punishment of a person and sending a message to everybody else, as SI that's a great marketing plan right there, MJ absence cost the league big time

  • His retirement made sports journalists respected the nba players more. Back then, they were very hard on nba players.

  • his retirement was a cover up. he was suspended by stern for gambling.

  • @bradj2000 definitely not... no way would stern suspend the most popular player in the game and the only global icon in the NBA at that time. and the players are allowed to gamble as long as they don't bet on basketball games.

  • @bradj2000 that's exactly what I say

  • @bradj2000

    And getting his father killed

  • imagine if he woulda stayed wow!!!! 8 in a row!!

  • @shadyshad1 no 9 in a row. don't forget if the team didn't split up until 1999 they also had that year won as well (lockout season). so a triple 3 peat.

  • jordan did it y cant favre ha ha

  • WTF! he's retiring?!?! Noooo MJ!!

  • if only he hadn't retired, himself and the bulls could have gotten more rings

  • @nobodysperfect06 8 straight rings, NO question about it! just like Russell's Celtics won 8 straight from 1959-1966

  • agreed, now we will never see something like that again

  • @nobodysperfect06 exactly! and unfortunately =\

the Bulls in the 90s was the best shot at seeing it again after Russell's Celtics. now we have to wait another couple decades or so to see something like that EVER again. because they say teams like the 90s Bulls come around once or twice a century

  • @nobodysperfect06 and as heart-breaking as it is, I have to admit this. Jordan was not retired in 1993. he was suspended by the NBA for his gambling addiction which I truly believe resulted in the death of his father. I believe David Stern suspended Jordan for 17 months & allowed Jordan to cover it up with a retirement to save his image & the face of the NBA

  • Jordan only played in 1,072 games in his career, including his years with the Wizards, that is not a top 25 of all-time games played in, Jason Kidd and Kobe Bryant have already played in more games than Jordan, if Jordan had not retired twice, player longer, he could have broken Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's scoring record

  • @nobodysperfect06 yeah I know. Jordan played only 14-15 seasons & he has 32,000+ points. Jabbar played 20 years & he has 38,000+ points. if Jordan played all 19 years from 1984-2003, NO doubt in my mind he would have at LEAST 40,000 points! but as for Jabbar, I have sympathy for him because he didn't have the benefit of the shooting 3's like Jordan. so we really can't compare players of different positions.

  • I wonder if Kobe will surpass Jordan's number of points

  • @nobodysperfect06 not if he retires at 35-36. I honestly don't think he's going to play past age 36. that would be 18 years total. he's already 32 ailing with injuries. by the way, how many points does Bryant have right now? 26,000 ?

  • Michael Jordan scored 32,292 points in his career, Kobe so far has scored 25,790 points so far at the end of the 2009-2010 season

  • @nobodysperfect06 I didn't know Kobe was only at < 26,000 points. I was guessing he had around 28,000 points. but with the rate that Kobe is going, I don't think he'll hit 32,000 points if he retires at age 35-36

  • @frusionnn david stern can be called alot of things and in the last 6 years I probably called him all of them lol but stupid aint one of them no way stern kick out his meal ticket considering what it cost the league for those 17 months also if MJ has this raging out of control gambling addiction, explain retirement #2 did stern kick him out them too, since MJ was never no OJ type I get its envogue now to make him out to be the worst human on earth even if reaching to the secret suspension BS

  • @sportstalk23 well I'm not saying Stern is the worst person on this planet. no, he is not. but I'm pretty sure Jordan was suspended in 1993 & Stern let him cover it up with a retirement to save his & the NBA's image. as for the 2nd retirement, that was no suspension at all. that was Jordan's personal decision to retire at age 35.

  • @frusionnn frankly considering how this league has been run lately I'm saying Stern is rotten to the core actually I was referring to MJ this whole secret suspension looks good to anybody looking to muddy him up so to speak since he never killed anybody or shot up a nightclub, assaulted defenseless people whatever, bottomline MJ leaving had a direct result on the fortunes of the Bulls, it should have been more than 6 titles at least a 4 peat, stern is risking that I think not, MJ was burned out

  • @sportstalk23 oh yeah, it should have been more than a repeat three peat (6 titles). It should have been at LEAST 8 straight titles (1991-1998). and I still want to say if the team didn't split up after the last title in 1998, they would have won it in 1999 also during the lockout season. because their toughest opponent's would be the 8th seeded Knicks & the Spurs who they would eventually play in the finals & win of course. so that would be 9 straight titles (triple three peat, 1991-1999)

  • @frusionnn I've heard this theory before, and as sportstalk23 pointed out, it doesn't really make any sense. Why would Sterm want to suspend or force into retirement the biggest attraction in the NBA? The NBA is a business, period, and its much more likely that Stern would try to sweep the entire gambling thing under the rug rather thn suspend Michael and loses millions of dollars and the intrnational appeal of the league.

  • @pheeeel17 MJ was probably made an example of, for all other player who will not tolerate that the NBA owns them, like slaves.

  • One of the saddest days as a kid, I remember being in the 7th grade he retired....

  • what IF lol mike retired right here for sure and never came back. Kobe would be the greatest but he dident retire lol

  • i remember being so depressed on this day and for the next mos.!!!!

  • He wanted to please his father.

  • @doobiebrother2

thats bull... he still plays ball for fun

  • @doobiebrother2 baseball was his favorite sport as a kid hes said

  • i been looking for this. thanks a lot.
