This is why every phan should watch the 25th anniversary concert. It illustrates this point extremely well. (And Hadley!Raoul is gorgeous. I mean what. Trololol.)
I love The Phantom of The Opera (2004) and I also enjoy this parody. There are many ways of looking at things. POTO is very deep and meaningful from a metaphorical point of view. A lot of art is like that. This parody though notices things from a literal point of view. I can understand that. Anyway, thanks for the entertainment and for putting so much effort into making this parody video!

Can someone please explain the ages to me? In the flashbacks to when Erik was in the circus, he looked like he was the same age as Madame Giry. But he doesn't look the same age as Madame Giry in the rest of the movie! O.O
@mudstripe@mudstripe It's not really mentioned in the book, seeing as in the musical Madame Giry is 3 characters combined: the dance teacher, Madame Giry, the keeper of Erik's private box and attends to his needs, and the Persian, the person who knows about Erik's past life (which is different btw) and where Erik lives. I think it could go either way: them being the same age or Erik being a little younger.

I wish the voice acting was better / took themselves a bit more seriously (even though this is a parody, some seriousness in the portrayal would never hurt, it would just give depth, in my opinion.) (: But otherwise this is fine and brilliantly edited. I especially love the idea of having the Gerry-Dracula at that one point, especially as he was extenting out his hand to a girl, in that, too. :D

The good: Funny translations to modern English, and the sarcasm.
The bad: Cussing, calling it a 15 minute summary when it's 30+ minutes.
The ugly: the voice-overs are too loud, then too soft.

@lynabeean ah it's just good fun. I'm a good bit into the movie and I think it's rather funny. Nothing can beat Phantom of the Opera (Wicked cuts it close though, as does Afternoon of a Faun), but you if you cannot be open to different views, you shouldn't watch it to begin with.

Can someone please explain the ages to me? In the flashbacks to when Erik was in the circus, he looked like he was the same age as Madame Giry. But he doesn't look the same age as Madame Giry in the rest of the movie! O.O

@mudstripe @mudstripe It's not really mentioned in the book, seeing as in the musical Madame Giry is 3 characters combined: the dance teacher, Madame Giry, the keeper of Erik's private box and attends to his needs, and the Persian, the person who knows about Erik's past life (which is different btw) and where Erik lives. I think it could go either way: them being the same age or Erik being a little younger.
