Yeah, definitely not pre-recorded. In the video of her playing this with the metal lookin guitar, she makes a mistake on the last chord. In this one, it's clean. However, it IS obvious that she's playing to a premade backup track, and every note she makes is pre-written. No improv, sadly.

@MPDEAR6060 well it all depends how the song is written compared to your improvisation abilities. If you're playing a song that isnt written well, it'd prolly sound better if you improvised. The better the song is written, the harder it'd be to make it sound better while improvising.

There is a perfectly logical explanation for this: YOU ARE AN IDIOT!! As for Su and this clip, I would bet thaat this is a mere fraction of her talent. So refreshing to hear a feminine take on improvisation. Very nice to listen to! You have a really nice style, ignore the negative comments posted by certain individuals on Youtube, many of them can't even play! I've taught for most of my life and good female improvisers are too rare and just have a different approach - which is great!

To the two commentators below; What *specifically* makes you think she's not playing it live ? I can see nothing in her performance to suggest it's a pre-recorded track. As for the comment about her guitar being "set so much lower" - what a load of nonsense ! Her guitar is standard tuned, at concert pitch and her fingering matches the audio exactly. Give the woman credit where it's due. Sounds like a case of sour grapes to me.

Doesn't make too much sense to post fretboard wizzardry on Youtube unless it is played LIVE. This video shows ACTING to a playback - whoever played the take, what we hear it is definitely NOT the stuff we see in the video. You would be better off staying REAL because it looks like You could come pretty close by doing the real thing, no need to "photoshop" Your mistakes...

Actually I think you are getting fooled because she is keeping time with her picking hand. She's using a lot of hammer on's and pull offs and not playing notes on every stroke which is why you are being decieved.

This is not a tabbed song. She can play properly, she reads music and understands the guitar and therefore can play anything. Look at the blues and funk improvs she does.
