Oh My God. Lea Salonga my childhood crush. I think I'm 2 years older than her. I was hoping I will meet her when I grow up. But then she started going out with Aga Mulach so I said to hell with her. Now I heard she is shooting movies with Agah again. Damn her husband must keep an eye, there's something between these two.
@smallsis222 Oh man, I can see it in her eyes. When a man put a sparkle like that on a woman's eyes, there is definitely something cooking inside her heart. Aga at that time was drowning in his own popularity plus the thrill from the likes of Janice de Belen, Aiko etc. He failed to listen to his true heart beat. Aga and Lea, that makes me jealous but hell yeah, they are a good match.
I sure remember the song in my childhood. In the mid 90s, we went to see a Miss Saigon play but that night Ms. Lea Salonga was off and was replaced by another equally good singer. Disagree. Strongly. But dreaming? Music like 'I have a Dream" from Les Miserables has great lyrics...and the speech by MLKing of "I have a dream" is memorable.
Much the same as you. I remember the Cold War. Spent two years in England in the late 60's spying for USAF/NSA. Cousins were in WWII and Korea and in Vietnam. I too hardly think the WTC disaster compares to Omaha and Utah beaches. Or the landings in the Pacific or the gas chambers of Germany. Dream of peace? Okay with me...however I'm from the old school. I contend there is no peace until your enemies are so beaten to a pulp they can not ever again wage war. A dream unlikely to be reality.
because you knew that you did that when you were little as well. Plus, you were too innocent to have realized what you were actually singing. and the recording company/producer obviously thought it was adorable enough to let it pass by. XD

Teach the world to sing in perfect harmony? Tell that to 2Billion Chinese and all the Islams of the world. Never happen. Nice tune

Actually I think the world is pretty much in harmony. At least 99% are. Glad kids then and still can dream.

Disagree. Strongly. But dreaming? Music like 'I have a Dream" from Les Miserables has great lyrics...and the speech by MLKing of "I have a dream" is memorable.

My generation is defined by the cold war, Vietnam, and poor relations with China. Spent my time under my desk in case the USSR tossed a nuke my way.
My dad had Hitler and Mussolini, Korea. Enemies were countries like Germany, Italy, Japan and later in China.
My granddad fought the great war. A whole generation lost while England, France and Germany punched it out.
So we get a plane crash or two a decade ago and we think this compares to the evil of the 20th century?

Well said. I think people now take a cynical view to everything, and all that matters is themselves and what's happening right now.
