@iliveforthemaga you need a mini dv camera with manual focus, manual white balance and a firewire connection. Or a DSLR camera with "Live view" which I'm using now., but the first recommendation is cheaper. Both have very good results, but they aren't cheap. The cheapest and funnest way to start, is to just get a webcam and start experimenting :D

@beastymattster The animation has two layers. First i was standing on a table and I took frames from each angle. Then I took 1 frame without me or the table. With editting software I combined the two together. It's important to set the camera at the same height as the surface of the table to get a smooth result.
