Checks & Balances. We need public, private and personal media sources.Only with that kind of diversity will we be able to have a true free unbiased press. With no CBC we have little to counter the commercial biases that occur with a purely private broadcasting system. With only government media, you risk too much government influence. We need both (the 3rd is the online and independents).
