The PS3 is a great system and better console when just talking about it's capabilities no doubt. But I've always been an Xbox guy and I'm not interested in PS3 exclusive titles at all. People who want a PS3 to play games like MGS4 and Uncharted 2 already own one.

well.... mgs4 is probable the first exclusive that drawn alot of attention towards the PS3, and not PS3 sales are way better, more exclusives coming soon. i really think the PS3 is on track.

Similar situation now what with Killzone 2 being released, not sure if it has or not yet, mainly because evenso I'm still a xbox360 fan, I own one, it was mega cheap, it's never broke and has awesome titles and few big exclusives, Halo for starters, Anywho Fallout 3 is the game to buy, trust me.

Th ps3 is preatty kool and i so want one it has alot of KOOL features and PS3 is rumored to be going down in price by $100. I dont know if its true but it could be. i enjoy everything SONY has made and i am not very happy with the xbox's they have a 40% failure rate and PS3 only has a 0.2% so i would get a PS3.

i like the 360 better, there are too many games i like but mostly rpg, i like the fps for ps3 like the resistance series, haze, lost planet etc... many good shooting games for the ps3, but i still perfer xbox xbox has many rpgs and shooting games

And finally, if you ould like an extremely cheap console on the go, I would purchase the Nintendo DS or Sony PSP. The debate over which consoles are better can go on and on forever. Well, to tell you the truth, I am kinfd of getting annoyed with the recent debates over which console is better. I think that everyone has their own opinion. For example, someone who likes hardcore games but wants a cheaper console and better online should shoot for the XBOX 360. But if you would like free online play and like hardcore games as well, try the PS3. If you like fun gameplay and motion controls, the Wii is probably best suited for you.

I'm an Italian guy and a your fan, but I don't understand you at 100%. Maybe at 80% =) Anyway, I love playstation, every sony's consolle it's awesome for me. Ps1, Ps2, my lovely Psp and of course ps3. But I'm also a fanatic of Metal Gear Solid saga so the release of the new mgs, for me, means something like "Jesus advent". Do u understand? Just get the console that has the games that you want. I bought a PS3 because the games appealed to my tastes.

oh and if you get a ps3...get one soon because their pretty much replacing the 40gb with the 80gb. however the 80gb will cost the same as the 40gb because it's the same model but with a bigger harddrive

and if you get a 360, wait out and get the 60gb

I'm not sure how much of an impact MGS4 will be but I believe with it and GOW3 coming out soon that the ps3 will likely start to stand back up on its feet and maybe gain some ground on the 360. However I know that one of the things stopping me from buying a ps3 at the moment is the backwards compatibility. I mean sure, the 80gb is 85% compatible with all ps2 games but the 40gb can't play them at all. If anything I'd find myself the 60gb.

I have bought the ps3 mainly because of MGS4 and it wasnt even out then but ps3 is So mutch better the xbox 360 i have 2 freinds that own the 360 and are going to buy a ps3 now. i dont know about the xbox but ps3 keeps updating their software and keep adding new things to the system like home and "alternate OS" (wich practicly means you can run LINUX on you ps3)and the sixaxis RULES in games its really fun kinda gives a little wii twist to the ps3.

BUT......... i have to admit there are some games on the xbox that are really good like ninja gaiden but their just not enough for me to change my mind. also sony has to do something about their commercials. The dont even tell you what the system can do. the just show you the PS icons dancing around. fckn weird.

If you are going to buy only 1 and don mind paying for xboxlive(to play online. ~$50/year), then i would get the 360.

But whatever you decide, I would wait til at least the fall. At that time, both systems will have had a price drop. But more importantly, the 360 will have the smaller graphics chips and the chance of it RROD will be nil.

remember, wait til the fall. Getting one now will get you the power hungry/hot/noisy version. The current models have a strong chance of overheating. Wait til this fall when microsoft releases a cooler and less power hungry version.

in the fall, go to xbox forums and do some research on how to determine if an xbox has a 65 nm xenos(graphics chip) . You'll see alot of postings from other people talking about this then

MGS4 is one of the greatest games ive ever played and is definatley a reason to get a ps3.
