you probably get this a lot, but what do u practice to get so good? rudiments? playing along with other musicians? building up you speed?

Definitely rudiments. I play to my favorite records, and try to match the feel and pocket of the recording. I do a lot of linear exercises around the kit. different combinations of singles and doubles between hands and feet, to a click.

Thanx a lot. I actually record my drums into protools while recording the vid. Then I mix it with the song, then line it up with the vid afterwards. So there is eq involved in the mixing process. I'm not sure if you know, but my lil brother plays as well, and KILLS!!!! Just search jtdrum88. Dude is a monster!!!

hey i always had this question, hmmm are you sending all the sound to the camera from a mixer??

I record the audio and video seperate, but at the same time. I record the video on a regular camera, and the audio onto protools. Then i sync them up later, on a video editing program.

so your drum mics are connected to the mixer and you record there and that recording goes to pro tools .

and the video you just sync it with the audio

Signal runs from mics, through a mixer, to the Pro Tools Interface, which records onto the software. I bounce the track as a wave file, then convert it to mp3 on itunes. then i sync the mp3 with the video footage on windows movie maker.

yah, i used to play that music a little more, some years ago. The fills on this track though, are exactly, if not very close to the what the drummer played on the record. They are not my own fills and ideas.
