Yeah, it probably is, mine was at it's limit by about 245rwkw's with 10 psi tune, stock cooler and cat, but with bigger cooler and more importantly bigger hi flow cat it jumped up to 290 rwkw's but over boosted so it was reduced to 270 rwkw's, it is much quicker now, once on boost all hell breaks loose it is stupidly fast but my next car will be a VE SS 6 speed manual. There is nothing like the sound of a manual V8 no matter how fast the xr6 turbo is!

That XR6 Turbo sounded good as it was spooling up, does anyone know what was actually done to it? If it had a bigger intercooler it probably had more boost because a re-tune of some sort is needed after intercooler upgrade! The V8 sounded good to, good close roll on race, I think if the XR6T had been an auto it would have been faster than the manual, mine's only a 4 speed auto and it hammers but it's about 270 rwkw's. Our Aussie muscle cars are great....Holden or Ford I love them both :-)

@muso1563 a mates ba xr6t is about half a car length on my ute. that's just cooler and tune, so you would think this is similar power out-put: 240 - 250rwkw

@BAwithBALLS I dont think xr6t's are slow. I know that manual xr6t's are much slower without Eboost. It allows better control/spool and can even be programmed to flat shift. Im just saying if you put a manual xr6t up against an auto with less power the auto will still be quicker. for example the 320rwkw 6sp typhoon than couldnt reel my 270rwkw(at the time) auto in at powercruise
