  • Best version of one of my all-time favorite songs!

  • one love to the eternal Spear!

  • Quelle douceur quelle douceur quelle douceur merci!

  • 79? oh my oh my!

  • pure 70's true...

  • His live shows are a spiritual experience, He of course sounds different now vocally, but the deep feel & earthiness of his vibe is the anchor. Wish you'd come to the U.S. as much as you do Europe, Spear, we love you!!!!!

  • good job good job lol

  • What's great performance don't worry Mister Winston Rodney we will never forget these shame of days of slavery

  • dey beat us

  • jah yes jah

  • nuff respect TrumpetTeen. I am not an african american or african carribean, or am i a Negro which is a literal translation of the word Black in Portugese, who inspired the slave trade, nor am i black. cause I neva see a man the colour of these letters. The only association i identify wid is Nubian. Everyting else is Negative and play a subconscious inferiority on the sycology. so i an i is Nubian and proud to be called that. but black, negro, nigger, afro this and afro that i am not.

  • @3Seen Yes Ras...nuff respect.

  • I wore out my eight track of the live concert from 1977. It was the structure of this song that fascinated me at the time. I had only just discovered Bob Marley and Jimmy Cliff. Winston Rodney's plaintive cry, the sheer emotion of this song, as if he was channeling centuries of slave descendants, was haunting. It was nothing I had ever heard before, and next to my Jethro Tull, Yes, and Led Zeppelin, was beyond comparison, an entirely different animal.

  • I Love this, where can i get that T-shirt. Backing band is just really heavyweights to go with it

    Rhythm Guitar : Bingy Bunny

Horns Section : Herman Marquis, Headley Bennett & Bobby Ellis

  • negus = nigger = man= JEHOVAH GOD..jah rasterfari!!!!!!!!!...peace2u all..

  • too al those who want too cal eatather names slavery is not gone never was or wil bee it now hase a new name mony.coolrunnings every one.hte spear rules

  • This bass line makes me smile!

  • The sound of Roots Raggae from the seventies is the best!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • MOST CREDIBLE PERFORMANCE EVER JAH KNOW i

  • Yes Man!

  • Deuteronomy 28:15

    Deuteronomy 28:32

    Deuteronomy 28:41

    Deuteronomy 28:48

    * Deuteronomy 28:68* And the LORD shall bring thee into Egypt again WITH SHIPS, by the way whereof I spake unto thee, Thou shalt see it no more again: and there ye shall be sold unto your enemies for bondmen and bondwomen, and no man shall buy you.

    Egypt is synonymous with SLAVERY

This is biblical PROOF that we are indeed the Israelites. B/c we didn't follow YHWH's law, he punished us. REPENT, Israel

  • btw... I don't look at history though "the white man's eye" I see history as it happened. Also, black people always think a huge wrong was done to them. When in fact that same wrong happened between other cultures. (even white people enslaved white people)

  • black people have been oppressed for so long than any other race

  • That is not true at all... You see centuries ago, Africa was a great nation, stronger than any other...(considering human life originated there)... african civilization prospered until other cultures developed more advanced weapons than africans... at that point history chose africans to become the "human recourse" of this world...

  • by the way, SHUT YOUR PALE NIGGER ASS< IF YOU CANT HANDLE THE MUSIC , MOVE TO ANOTHER VIDEO

  • Nigger? You do realize that the word "nigger" is derogatory... even when you call each other that, it just keeps you in the same rut youve been for a quarter of millennium.

  • i was calling you that though lol

  • for centuries niggers built your schools, roads, hospitals, fetch waters for your homes.takes care of your farms, markets, gardens, parks etc.

You only pay them back by creating all sorts of human selfish self-centered barriers, walls, segregations, discriminations, colour bars etc.

MUN7001 BEG FOR FORGIVENESS if you believe inGOD .

Remember the golden rule, the laws of nemesis and the laws of karma. walk and stop in front of the first black person, tell him or her I AM SORRY. OK.

  • Here's a tid-bit of information for you.

If you are specifically talking about the Africa slave trade, than the answer is a bit easier to find. African tribes typically captured and enslaved members of other tribes during wars. It took only a small leap for them to begin selling these slaves to Arab, and later Pourtugese traders.

  • Great music, but that's all it is.

I mean what is the message? "White man" bad?

Then again no one will admit that 90% of the time it was tribe leaders themselves selling their own people to slave traders... those were the "Days of slavery."

  • U should study the history with the right view over things happened.

If I help someone doing evil with a gun on my back, does that means i'm evil too!!!

Who was the peoples suffering in the past? Who are the peoples suffering this lifetime? Certainly not white peoples!

Who was the peoples who trade with human beings over the centuries, certainly not black peoples.

We should not hate each other, but tell the truth to the next generations to make those things never ever happen again.

  • great music , of course, but you forget the whole message of the music, like your trying to increase the profile of the white man, yeah they did sold and steal the slaves, but they allowed the slaves to retain their culture, not appropriate it and then sell it . The mind, spirity , and body all stolen, thats the difference.

  • @TruMpetTeen417 I have read your comments and you really did your homework on slavery. I agree with most you are saying, but just to respond to your first comment: The message in the music is 'Don't let this happen again'. It's that simple, has nothing to do with black / white, red / yellow or green / purple, who traded who and for what reasons, the message is 'Never Again'.

  • do u remeber ha days of SLAVERAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYY.

    Peace and love to all.

  • Great Music with a Powerfull lesson ,never to forget one of the worst crimes Men can do to human mankind.
