  • this cars weakness isnt the interior, its a gay convertible, and the paint is out of date, which is why they have jetstream blue and the new orange, the term little red corvette is getting old

  • whats wrong with the interior on this, sure its GM based but bottom line is its simple, and simple is best, no unnessecary features or weight, more room in the interior, more user friendly, lasts longer, and cheao to replace parts, I take a corvette interior over a bentleys interior because your paying extra for crap you dont need

  • Hey Genius, the car comes with stiff suspension, because its a 'DA" sports car GENIUS!! Why don't you give a proper review of this car and not dis' it so much. The steering isn't too light but its just right. You sound like you're reading from "Goldielocks and the Three Bears"...

  • no comparison with this car to the AMGs, R8 or the BMW Ms. German cars are just beasts.

  • @amansaysmtf true...they are in a different league

  • Scrapes on everything??? Bullshit. You drag the front difuser under the bumper sometimes. It's just soft plastic made to bend. Leaf springs?? I drive an 07 and it's an Independent Rear Suspension. You don't know ur shit bud.

  • i hate red and convertible vettes ... it looks cheap

the best looking vette is the zo6 and it has a raw engine 7L v8 of instant power

  • Am I the only one who noticed that great fuel economy for a car that hits 60 in 4 sec flat and tops 190? Only corvette and porsche do that, and the vette is a 50grand car and porsche is like 80grand, still them and the GTR are what I consider true sports cars, not super/ exotic show cars best for athletes, movie stars, and CEO's but true sportscars for normal people.

  • Im not a GM fan, but this guy keeps dissing american cars, & im pretty sure hes american, so chilllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll

  • Haha Lancer just hanging out back there at 0:26

  • wow stop being little bitches about supporting your country with where your car is made....like does it really matter? if you had a choice of a free shitty american made car, or a brand new free audi r8, would you still support your country?

  • SUPPORT YOUR DAMN COUNTRY. I Definitely Will NOT be watching anymore FLDetours Reviews

  • *It's the closest thing most folks in America will ever get ot a Ferrari if they save the money.lol

  • wow

  • love corvette, only the best last the test of time. here's 1

  • wish i could have one!!

  • ETF is this guy talking about? The interior looks fine, leaf springs?...so..they get the job done, right. Nothing wrong with them, they are just another type of spring. I'm Aussie and I say buy American you stupid people, you are getting so much more for your money.

  • What is this moron talking about??..."The interior reflects that"...I see absolutely nothing wrong with the interior!...in fact, if you see at 1:00...I find the interior to be very luxurious actually!....and very nice!...well, what did you expect??...the same interior as the $2 Million Bug Veyron??...give me a break!!

  • @1aceves I BOUGHT A SILVER GP IN APRIL. I HAD HEARD THAT THE INTERIOR WAS NOT SO GOOD.THE ONLY THING I FOUND NOT UP TO PAR WAS THE LEVER THAT TILTS THE SEATS BACKWARD. (COULD BE A LITTLE MORE SUBSTANTIAL) I SOON FORGOT TOTALLY ABOUT THAT LITTLE LEVER THE FIRST TIME I PUSHED THE START BUTTON ! ( AND HAVN'T THOUGHT ABOUT IT SINCE)

  • @door2416 I just bought a 2011 gs coupe crystal red metallic,Cashmere 4lt interior,,Auto ,with every options available,,plus most acc also..... I LOVE this car,,True interior could use updating but once driving who cares.. fyi ... I am female also .

  • This guy is a fucking tool.

  • this dude is a lame host

  • God! Why is this d-bag reporting on cars?

  • Beyond the cheap interior (get over it, if you want a Ferrari level interior to go with your Ferrari level performance, go spend the extra 150-200k and get the Ferrari), this Grand Sport is a very nicely executed version of the Vette. Ive always been a fan of Corvettes, and its nice to see them evolving into such a great performance vehicle.

  • god that soft top looks terrible

  • Great car, bad presenter. It seems that these days anybody with a camera can jump into a showroom car and pretend to be Jeremy Clarkson.

  • @marodebesciak as if jeremy clarkson has any right to be a car reviewer, he and his show are total crap

  • @EatmyDust1311 His show is the best. FYI he gave the Corvette Z06 a good review. I believe American car enthusiasts don't like him because he often says bad things about American cars. I believe that will start changing now that American car manufacturers seem to have gotten their act together.

  • @marodebesciak no, tg is bias. they LIE about things. they make up "facts" about cars. they setup jokes. they arent a car show, they are for retarded brits that want (staged) crashes and penis jokes

  • wow a 70k grand sport!!! fully loaded im guessing!!!

  • What the fck is wrong about the interior?! Look at 1:00 ! Stop hatin'!

  • whats the porblem with this car being american? i dont see how thats a downfall, infact thats a good thing because you dont look like an asshole when you drive one of these.

  • What part of "Bang for the buck" don't some people understand? Here you have a car (series of cars, actually) that can hang with elite supercars costing 3 and sometimes 4 times as much, and you complain about the interior? DUH. Ok, so let's put alcantara over everything inside, leather seats from Utopia, rare materials for the body, suspension, and brakes (not changing the performance one bit, mind you), and quadruple the price. Then watch as Pavlov's dogs find something new to whine about....

  • why would you buy a a 370z? That's the problem people buying shitty foreign cars. Support your damn country and go buy american.

  • damn straight

  • hell yea man...support ford and chevy

  • @c6z5105 Especially because now all the automakers are working so similar in reliability and quality.

  • @c6z5105

Look i dont really like most American cars simply because of the way they are made. There are a few i like but they still use cheap plastics so basically GM need to step up their game in order for Americans not to buy foreign cars.

  • @c6z5105 shitty foreign cars? the Z is built in Japan, yes, but most Nissans and most of the other "foreign" Japanese cars are built here in North America, by North American workers. Seriously, what decade are you stuck in? You should just not speak, you're embarrassing your country with your gross display of misguided patriotism and overall ignorance.

  • @evilchameleon007

most of the money is still going to someone in asia haha

  • @c6z5105 That's kind of the spirit of capitalism, for the consumer to buy what they want, not what they're told...

  • @c6z5105 And saying foreign cars are "shitty" has no educational backing behind it, sorry.

  • @c6z5105 people buy imports for reliability, not because of economical reasons.

  • @c6z5105 But what happen if you live in Europe and a Corvette C6 (not a Z06) costs 98.000$?

Here is better to buy a 370z :)

  • @c6z5105 What is American anymore? GM Ford and Chrysler, ship all of the jobs to Mexico, for cheap labor and shitty work. Most of the big 3s parts come from Mexico. Pretty sad when Toyotas are built more in the US. then the Big 3.

  • @c6z5105 Damn straight!

  • @c6z5105 And get stuk with a shitty car.

  • @c6z5105 shitty foreign cars? you mean the ones that are kicking Not Made in America car companies? its funny you mention that when Toyota and Honda make more cars in America rather than GM or Ford in Mexico and Canada.

  • @c6z5105 that is stupid argument...this is free market and whoever makes a better car wins...its not like GM is a non profit company where all the profits go to the US government...GM employs Americans and so does foreign companies...which one would you rather buy...an "american" car made in a foreign country or the one made in US by a foreign company?...who gives americans jobs!!!...i know corvettes are made in KY...just tired of hearing this idiotic argument...PS: i love corvettes

  • @c6z5105 which one would you rather buy?...ford fusion made by mexicans or the hyundai sonata made by americans...if you love ur country and want your ppl to have jobs buy the sonata...so stop it with that fox news bullshit

  • @c6z5105 hahaha, you're funny. patrotic americans. haha.

  • @piuthemagicman

and i bet your french. go surrender to someone

  • @sacara21 I'm Finnish. We didn't surrender. We fought against Russians.

  • @c6z5105 A FUCKING MEN!!!!! THANKYOU!!!!!

  • @c6z5105 lol fuck you. Support the companies that went bankrupt cause they made shitty cars for so long and had to get bailed out with OUR TAX DOLLARS. Get a clue man

  • @c6z5105 I don't know if buying American cars benefits all of America, but it definitely supports Detroit. They thank you for your support.

  • meh 1 star

  • GOD DAMN!! WIll people QUIT bitching about the god damn interior "but there is a downfall to all this... it is american and its interior reflects that" god damn sound like a bunch of europeans if you dont like the america and it interior get the fuck out dont stay and bitch.

  • @Camaros5678 i fell ya, every god dam review i read about the vette since 1997 has been crappy interior. I think the only reason they do that is cuz its excels so much in every other area that the interior is the only down fall so they have to bring it up in their pros and con review. i got a 2000 c5 and i see what they mean but ITS NOT THAT BAD LIKE THEY MAKE IT OUT TO BE!! its got a/c and great ergos. what more do you need

  • very true

  • @Camaros5678 id say id rather have the money put into a bulleproof drivetrain and awesome suspension.

  • @AnimepimpYT THANK YOU! Finally someone got it right! Forget the interior worry about making better performance, "There is never too much power"

  • Comment removed

  • @Camaros5678 I saw one Ferrari with a pull CABLE for a door latch and windows that you grabbed a hold of and shoved it up or down depending on what you wanted. Absolutely terrible to think that someone would spend that kind of money on something that bare bones. But it saved a little weight and was fully functional, which is all that matters. Besides the interior is one hell of alot nicer then corvettes of yesteryear. Remember the video game like intrument panel?

  • @lbart2005 I just about died from laughing when i saw that first sentence. And I'm going to say this, why worry about all the plastic interior and all that bullshit! Worry only about performance, what your ass and back are sitting on and a good steering wheel and that should be fine. Am I right?

  • @Camaros5678 You are absolutely correct

  • @lbart2005 Thank you=P

  • Just remember when the 370Z is a pile of rust that GS will still be around and more than likely runinning and looking great.

  • If you want handling, the car needs a stiff suspension and low ground clearance. Oh well.

  • when i think of audi, i think of paper, very transparent, but no other purpose than itself.

  • When we got the car we also wanted to pull the chip, but went for demonstrating the exhaust technology instead and exlaining what needed to be changed. Above 3,500rpm, rockin exhaust! My favorite Vette yet!

  • i recon corvettes are already pretty awsome, but i recon they should just test how a leaf or coil setup would run, if it makes a difference or not

  • nice

  • i think they found the most boring, lexus loving, anti american car asshole they could find.

this is just about as good as sticking oprah in porn.

  • oh we all know u would let Oprah shart on ya!

  • I think it's funny when people say leaf springs are archaic. The fact is, most cars use coil spring suspensions because they're cheaper and easier to engineer. The transverse leaf springs in the 'Vette wear better than springs, save weight, and generally outperform coils.

  • @omnibuck

I am sorry to say but you have lost your mind. Coilovers out perform the leaf springs any day not to mention aftermarket coil overs save weight. I personally don't care for the Grand Sport much. It is a Z06 want-a-be. The front fender vents look like horrible. I agree the guy can't drive. He also points out how archaic the leaf springs are and then says that the most impressive thing about the car is the steering. What affects steering more than suspension.

  • corvettes, including zo6es and zr1s, all run on leafs, and they all hanle great and pull over 1g in corners, so what if they are old? they work, and technically they shouldnt but they do, all these years little tweaks, a little better each time, just like the porsche 911 has the engine in the back, it should not work, but it does, after years and years of tweaks.

  • Yeah the Porsche works but it got rid of all its old trade like snap oversteer and so on. The corvette hasn't it's still hard.

  • seriously, the leaf spring are the only old tech on the corvette, other than that it is a marvel of engineering, a high tech ferrari killer that is being praised world wide, even jeremy clarkson said he prefered it to the audi r8 v10, and thats a hell of a thing to do! a chevy vs a v10 audi? and it won. and it handles

  • err no, now your just lying, the best car he has ever driven, he said, is the bugatti veyron, full stop. if you watched top gear he said the audi as the better car, but it is a souless engineering exercise and that the corvete had more flair and passion. i believe now instead of cars your just bashing america, so fuck you. SSC ULTIMATE AERO, SALEEN S7, FORD GT,

  • I'm American by birth, and if you don't believe me and watch as i said before "DUEL" by Jeremy Clarkson that's what he saids. Uneducated prick.

  • ok, im uneducated because i cant pull up every jeremy clarkson quote from the last 20 years. right. maybe i have better things to do, ever think of that? and if your saying a datsun is better than a chevy, i feel sorry for your parents. datsun better than veyron? yeah...right. its jap, what jap pos is better than a veyron?

  • Umm well you are because your calling an Audi a Datsun?

  • my mistake, i thought you were someone else. it still isnt better and i wouldnt buy euiher for that money

  • go back to the forums =]

    i respectfully disagree sir.

i think tranverse leafs are great

its not an inherent design trait that makes coilovers better. it just that aftermarket people dont want to work with anything other than what they know, and what they know are coilovers.

  • @omnibuck i agree that leaf spring are better... if you enjoy spinning out and crashing when you apply power through turns.

  • Correct me if I'm wrong, MrMcGinty, but that ZR1 which ran 7:26.4 at the Nurburgring had the same transverse leaf springs that we're talking about here, right? That car was completely stock, outside of the driver and passenger safety harnesses, right? Did I miss part of the video they made where the thing wiped out?

  • @omnibuck

We are not saying that a Corvette does not handle well from the factory. I can confirm that they do. However, GM has produced all corvettes to be daily drivers and the Leaf springs help improve ride quality. But a coilover is much more suited for track situations. I still have leaf springs on my 07 Z06 and you can see how it handles as I have several track videos posted.

  • no is not the same bloody same system. Don't be so naive. the rear is a fully alluminum double wishbone with adjustable magnetic dampers and the composite leaf spring is there instead of the coil spring is to keep fans happy, save weight, keep production cost down and and break your back over small rocks and insect on the road.

  • @omnibuck. yes, but they ruin the ride.

  • that guy is a jackass. he seems like someone who just tries to repeat anything jeremy clarkson says.

  • How the hell did he get a job reviewing cars? Loved the car, but the review itself sucked.

  • Speaking of cheesy, who still says "LMAO?"

    Learn to spell, pal. ;)

  • I bought a 2010 GS Coupe and love that car. The launch control is only in the manual along with a dry oil slump. The car can post a 1g on the skid pad better then most cars over 150k mark. I added Borla Stingers and SLP Blackwing Air Intake and dyno at 427 rwhp with 436 lb of torque. I do disagree with his assessment of in city driving though. I've owned 4 Corvettes so far and you always have to be careful with any slopes and that's why you take them at an angle and not straight on.

  • And I'll give you a hint as to what we're testing, read the title!!!

  • koreandude ur a fuckin idiot. know ur facts before you speak. ya 70k for this car is not worth it but wtf would you consider a boxster over a vette. handling and straight line perfomance ugh ur an idiot!

  • that sounded like sex

  • how did you find out about the fuse? Also I do consider it a poser car because most of the owners are going through their midlife crisis.

  • That doesnt make the car the poser

  • uh, then it sounds like the OWNERS are posers rather the car. Take a poser car and put a credible enthusiast behind the wheel and it's STILL a poser car regardless.

I'm no Grand Sport owner or fanboy but Corvettes have sporting potential and like it or not (def a not for the interior) it is a force to be reckoned with.

    I agree though for 70k I'd rather buy a 2010 Porsche Boxter S or Cayman S.

  • maybe it takes that long to save up to buy a new one?

most likely they are @ the top of the career ladder or have been saving.... if i were to buy one i would go with a 94 GS, 5.7L V8 , kinda classy looking but still sexy

  • my bad i meant to type 96 GS not 93

  • GM's employees were more than happy to show me where the fuse box was located and how to remove the fuse...

  • How many cars with the performance of this car get 26 mpg highway?

  • @lbart2005 I hear you, dude!...no other sportscar with similar performance in the whole world gets 26 MPG like Corvettes!....all Lambos, Ferraris, Porsches, and many other sportscars costing up to three times as much all get from 8 MPG to 12 MPG!....this is what American engineering is all about!

  • That top made it look older, it looks like the 50th anniversary corvette

  • I was thinking the same thing..........

  • For 70Thousand Dollars you can get some very amazing cars. If you're in the market purely for speed, I can see this as an impressive option. Otherwise I wouldn't think twice about it.

  • You need not ever spend 70k on a Grand Sport, they're called "options" for a reason.

  • they put leaf springs in it for a reason, they dont flex left and right like shocks tend to do. this results in great cornering because its so stiff and it gets sideways and holds it because of this too. screw the ride comfort its a sports car/supercar.

  • i think the opposite - its definitely a poser car! it looks absolutely stunning, with top up or down, and the engine is something that sounds sweet when you work it. But is only really good in a straight line - as you say, the interior isn't that great (not as bad as I expected), and the suspension is well behind the times. I'd definitely buy it for the looks i'd get though!

  • You are an idiot, it probably performs better in a turn than in a straight line, have you ever driven a corvette?

  • New Corvettes are definitely not JUST straight-line performers.

They can do it all now.

  • Rims have got to go, and the color of the top reminds me of an old-person's camry with a fake ragtop in the back if you know what i mean...other than that, great mini-Z06.

  • Finally a car review worth watching! Honestly I'm not going to buy a Corvette or an Equinox any time soon. But if I had my choice over which to watch a video about it would be the Vette!

  • oh no anather vette

  • um there's only 4 versions. you're making it sound like they are hundreds of them.

  • am well 4 ok what aver

  • Uh, ya, and each of the versions has a point.

Oh no! 4 versions, someone shut down the plants!

  • If this is going to be the same clip used in FLD, I will unsubscribe. You could had more content.

  • This car is one of The Evergreens on this planet!

  • Does that thing really have launch control?

  • Yes, yes it does.

Simple process to engage. Hit traction control button 2x, which engages "Competition Driving Mode," clutch in, rev it up, let go of clutch rapidly.

    Blam-o, launch control!

  • eww, a convertible!

  • i like the rims

  • hey if u want a better z that would blow that thing away drop 30 more grand into it lol!

  • biased review no?

  • lol i think so

  • can u get the vid to play?

  • 2nd?

  • Nobody cares retard!!

  • :( - sad- :(

  • grand sport eh?
