this is 8-bit which was only used on the NES. the cover is from a 16-bit genera of the SNES.(not 25 years old it will be in 2015) the music on SNES sounded much better and had many more instruments. I am fairly sure you could find some 8-bit art of braid. so that just leaves me with the thought you don't actually even know what a SNES or NES is regardless it was okay. I am just sick and fucking tired of everyone mixing up the two.
hehe goood one! my only issue is that the picture is misleading as it implies the snes 16-bit era which has not 25 years ago, rather the early nineties ^^ catchy tune nonetheless ! :)
25 years ago? 30 or 35 would be more appropriate: this thing is so 8 bit, and in 1989 the 8 bit era was at its sunset (the sega mega drive was around since 1988 and the snes was just around the corner).
@deathward4 hmmmmm. I'll see want I could do. Idk how I would do that though I just recorded this straight from the piano to the line in port of my computer
@deathward4 Hey man, there are programs that will transcribe this song into midi. Just rip this from youtube, and run it in one of those...or just figure it out in the tracker urself.
@deathward4 why should it be impossible? computers can analyze pitch and time..you're right though it's not a science exactly, and not perfect...There is one called intelliscore... I know there is another really good one can't remeber what it was called.
@deathward4 In fact, it is. There is some software for extracting notes from the music, but they are not well advanced. If this kind of software makes steps, then one can extract the notes and save as MIDI.
@theturbocow yeah i started learning downstream but i dont know why I stopped. I'll try to put up a video for sure whenever I get around to finding the sheet music again and learning it all the way through
I think Super Nintendo actually had capabilities for much better music quality, and even an orchestral sound(Final Fantasy III [VI in Japan]). But still very nicely done.
@Raynelm Even the NES had capabilities for much more "sophisticated" music than this :) Search for "famicompo" on youtube to hear some modern compositions for the NES sound chip(s).

I would say 20-17 years ago. Also this sounds with a little lower quality than games for SNES .

25 years ago the Super Nintendo would not have been out yet. This would have been an NES title.

Pretty sure if Braid was made 25 years ago, everyones brain would've exploded at the ending.

@datasoluble ...you do realize it's impossible to turn an mp3 into a midi, right?
And it doesn't matter anymore anyways. .-.
