WARNING: Beware opening battery door in humid atmosphere! Moisture will enter, allowing condensation inside lens space. Ruined my best shots taken in Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race. *There is no advice in User Manual on humidity access via openings. Took a few secs to swap batteries. No wet fingers, just moist air. If known would have used silica gels in a sealed bag. Indicator test showed no water got inside. Camera a week old. Panasonic rejects that cam is not fit for purpose. Mike O'R Australia.

I bought this camera and it broke after 20 minutes of water filming. I wa ssnorkeling (not scuba0 but panasonic will not replace the camera! Do not buy this camera.

waterproof......it won't last long.they concentrate more on making the cam waterproof than giving better quality ......and who the fuck will film a tornado with this camcorder?
