yeah baaaaby!!!marvin the man!i'm currently learning this song, and its harder than it sounds!!!!!marvin you will always be motown!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Adore it! Dancing right in my seat! Marian from Phoenix Have to tell my sister inMoscow to watch it to understand the genius of American singers and music
@wesmotown : Motown had a habit of remixing songs, sometimes subsequent to initial release (that's what happened with Shop Around). This one was one such effort and, while pure Marvin, this version didn't seem to have the polish of the one we all came to know.
Marvin was a "Giant" among men. He defined the sound of young America. This is Classic Soul @ it's very best!!!! Yes Marvin you were truly loved & admired; but, most of all You are sorely missed. Vaya con Dios mi hermano.
Is this a different arrangement? I like this version!

JUST MADE IT.... In 1963 "Pride and Joy" peaked at No. 10 thus just making Billboard's Top 10 and it spent a total of 14 weeks in the Top Hot 100!!!
Mr. Gaye's first Top 10 record; had a total of 14 Top 10 records with three of them reaching No. 1...
Ranked No. 72 on the Billboard's Year-End Hot 100 Singles of 1963 chart...
Reached No. 2 on Billboard's R&B chart...
Martha and The Vandellas supplied back-up vocals...

Marvin's voice is so supple and expressive. Makes most of today's "singers" sound ridiculous.
