But to correct you, yes, a stock AW11 can in fact do a burn out. even a 90hp civic can do a burnout. If I had to guess this AW11 either had a built up 3sgte or a V6 swapped in, then the usual bolt ons and such (intake, exhaust, ecu, fuel system, intercooler, oil system, and definite tuning on a dyno.) still probably cheaper than buying a viper, though :D

@monster1985 stock vehicles? the MR2 would have no chance. It's not nearly as powerful or quick as a viper stock, and it has a tendency to get twitchy at higher speeds, the MR set up limits it's drifting potential. It would take quite a few modifications for this to happen, but given the right set up, it's quite possible. Tuned MR2s have whipped vipers on both 1/4m strips and autocross tracks many times.

Power to weight ratio is probably the answer. I'm pretty sure the MR2 weighs about 1000lbs less than a Viper which would allow it to be faster even with less horse power.

A viper is mad cheap for what you get. It's also an extremely good car in both handling and straight line speed. There are of course better cars out there but the viper is still semi exotic and really cheap compared to its rivals. You shouldn't blame the car for the driver's lack of ability.
Go see which car has the fastest lap on the Nurburgring. See what has the 2nd fastest lap and maybe you'll learn a bit more. Look up Ultimate Aero SSC and learn that it's the fastest car in the world (Top Speed wise).
This is just a very tuned MR2 beating up on a 20yr old stock Viper...

A viper is mad cheap for what you get. It's also an extremely good car in both handling and straight line speed. There are of course better cars out there but the viper is still semi exotic and really cheap compared to its rivals. You shouldn't blame the car for the driver's lack of ability.

Go see which car has the fastest lap on the Nurburgring. See what has the 2nd fastest lap and maybe you'll learn a bit more. Look up Ultimate Aero SSC and learn that it's the fastest car in the world (Top Speed wise).
This is just a very tuned MR2 beating up on a 20yr old stock Viper...
For the record I drive a Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4 and I love imports. However at 12 I learned not to discredit a country's automotive prowess due to my lack of knowledge in the area.
Go spend some time in a shop.

Give a jap or a euro engineer that many space and youll get more than 500hp. infact you can almost get that in an M3. now not all american cars are stupid (the corvette is sick!) but the viper... its just retarded

Let me explain something to you about Vipers HP to litre since you cant think for youself. Answer me this:
Whats going to be more reliable and last longer?
A: smaller engine with forced induction (VR35DETT) to around produce 500bhp
B: a much bigger engine (LS7) to produce the same power.
These two are just examples which should make you think about the Dodges SRT-10 engine and its size.

I agree in theory your right especially once you start too modify them. When you look at the facts though small standard jap engines havethe same or better longevity then most modern US made cars but really it all comes down to how there driven.
And cmon anyone who buys a performance car and expects to be able to thrash it and expects it too last 300,000k's is dreaming.

No car last anywhere near that and yes when it comes to modyfing a bigger engines generally have less strain on the engine therefore making it more stronger. Only i reason i made a comment in the first place on this video because of a guy with his 3 cylinder GTTI Turbo Charade saying his engines better than a V8 and stupid comments like that make Jap car fans look stupid.

Since when? I have seen plenty of mainly toyotas (apprenticed there) with over 300,000 mainly camry and corolla but i have seen hilux with over 300,000.
just because its big doesnt make it good. Cant say ive been lucky enough to pull apart a dodge V10 but the fact its big doesnt mean its engineered any better then a small engine. Yes it may make more outright power before going bang but when you compare power/capacity i still prefer small jap engines.
