You also want to make sure your hormones are good. If you have too much estrogen and not enough testosterone, or you have toxins in your gut, it will keep you from losing body fat no matter how much cardio you do, or what type of diet you go on. So, make sure everything is good to go first, then hit the cardio. Just don't do too much of it, or your cortisol levels will shoot up. Just do HIIT cardio for about 10-20 minutes.
Thanks. I've never thought much about hormones, but I have gone through periods where I was eating great and and doing a little cardio every day. At my best I was impressively (for me) and obviously muscular, but I've never been toned. How do you check your hormones or toxins? Doesn't working out increase your Testosterone anyway?
Yes, lifting weights does increase testosterone levels, and compound movements increase it more than isolation ones, because you are forced to use more muscles. As far as getting your hormones and toxins checked, if you can go to a naturopath, do that or a regular doctor would work too. I think hormones have to be tested by your saliva. That being said, your genetics play a huge role as well, and endomorphs are for the most part, genetically prone to retaining some body fat.
@Xyrag You can still do ab excercises if your abs are small and need to be bigger. But most people already have abs and just need to lose weight, which is why this video was made.

1. You eat too much salt
2. You drink too much shakes
What you can do is: Drink LOTS of water, and reduce sodium intake.

As they also state (correctly) we all already have these abs,-if you can't see them, it's due to fat. Lose the fat, see the abs. However, there is a difference between being able to finally see some definition, and a hard "8-pack" with hypertrophy, which CANNOT be obtained physiologically w/o resistance work.
@ajp135212 Can you post some pictures? I can tell you by seeing your abs, relaxed, as well as flexed, what you really have. I am guessing after such a weight loss (and congratulations to you, well done!), that you're finally seeing muscle tone where there used too be flab. Also, genetics plays a part. Many athletes get a "shredded" look w/ just their bodyweight (boxers, martial artists). This is not a bodybuilders "8-pack."

It's lack of education, that's all. Also, fat burned during a workout (yep, it's cardio). But if you want to burn fat LONG TERM (during w/o, after, sleeping), then cardio can actually set you back if done wrong, like the silly "fat burn zones." As I keep saying, after losing 30lbs, you're seeing new muscle tone. Great!

@Julemus12345 Yea that's after you burn the body fat so u can see the abs and then work them out by doing crunches, leg raises, etc. Those exercises will build muscle on your abs after you burn enough body fat to actually see your abs

can someone tell me how to get a six pack and build on muscular weight? Cause the diets and the supplements are a little bit mixed up because the proper way to get muscles is to eat good and do a proper workout but I noticed that I began to gain some fat over my six pack although I was working harder on my six pack either.
@FitnessGuru91 its gonna be hard for u to come up that far in weight if u wanna stay lean all year round. what you could do is increase ur calories and your carbs for bout 5 or 6 months and eat alot which this will allow u to build some good muscle but u will have a little bit of fat too, nothing major, then start a cutting phase for a couple months and repeat. who knows tho u might be able to eat more and stay lean just see what works for u
Guys I really need your help. I'm 17yrs old in my senior yr of highschool and I weigh 280lbs. I really want to lose it but no disrespect to my parents but there fat to and they dont cook the healthiest meals, so im forced to eat what they cook. And I also work out every now and then.. Dude you dont need to e skinny you need to be low body fat , there is a large difference you can weight 200 pounds and have 5% body fat (with a sixpaxk visible) and you can be 100 pounds with 60% body fat ( without a sixpaxk ) even if you are skinny one hundred pounds for example , depends in age and genetics but skinny doesn't mean you are low percent bodyfat
BTW even those "blessed" people with the good metabolism and all can f**k up their six pack by eating garbage and get fat, so genetics can help a lot but you can still be ripped if you want to be, you just need to set your mind to it

About the boxers - i doubt they don't do any strenght workout, but seeing the abbs is just about low bodyfat levels. I'm not saying that u can't loose weight doing cardio, it's just an in-eficient way.

@vbknez boxer lift weight but not much they do 2x more cardio then weights...but its what ever i dont believe its in-eficient because boxer do long stranous cardio and there in tip top physical condition so ur basically going aginst the things mayweather and guys like pacquiao do who are in better shape then any of these ppl on youtube

@ajp135212 this is going to be the last reply. I don't think u can make a great boxer ore any other athlete from training. If he will succed in his sport he will have to be genetically suited for it. So yes, because a few people succeed in something by doing somethings in a specific way,it doesn't mean it should be applied for the average people. That a boxer succeeded a great look doing lots of cardio is the same as the story of my roommate.

@ajp135212 Actually, you're an example of what they've stated in previous vids. If you START from a place where, as you said, you had 30 lbs to lose, yes, you will see development fast. As they also state (correctly) we all already have these abs,-if you can't see them, it's due to fat. Lose the fat, see the abs. However, there is a difference between being able to finally see some definition, and a hard "8-pack" with hypertrophy, which CANNOT be obtained physiologically w/o resistance work.

@ajp135212 Can you post some pictures? I can tell you by seeing your abs, relaxed, as well as flexed, what you really have. I am guessing after such a weight loss (and congratulations to you, well done!), that you're finally seeing muscle tone where there used too be flab. Also, genetics plays a part. Many athletes get a "shredded" look w/ just their bodyweight (boxers, martial artists). This is not a bodybuilders "8-pack."

@Merrida100 im a boxer myself,i kill myself in the gym i was running and boxing every day straight cardio and i am lean and ripped so no one can tell me im wrong.if u want to lose weight cardio is the best way to do it, u will burn more fat i would run on the treadmil for 1hour and a half.it worked wonders for me so i dont see how im wrong but its what ever, i dont hve to post pictures of myself its up to u weither u believe me or not but i dont really care i kno what ever im doing is right

@ajp135212 Don't post pics if you can't. It's not me you need to convince. People look at those silly treadmill readouts and think those give accurate "fat burned" numbers too. It's lack of education, that's all. Also, fat burned during a workout (yep, it's cardio). But if you want to burn fat LONG TERM (during w/o, after, sleeping), then cardio can actually set you back if done wrong, like the silly "fat burn zones." As I keep saying, after losing 30lbs, you're seeing new muscle tone. Great!

@Julemus12345 Yea that's after you burn the body fat so u can see the abs and then work them out by doing crunches, leg raises, etc. Those exercises will build muscle on your abs after you burn enough body fat to actually see your abs

with the cardio you will need to mix it up. do some of the lokng cardio and some interval trining as well and other types for variety.

can someone tell me how to get a six pack and build on muscular weight? Cause the diets and the supplements are a little bit mixed up because the proper way to get muscles is to eat good and do a proper workout but I noticed that I began to gain some fat over my six pack although I was working harder on my six pack either.

@FitnessGuru91 its gonna be hard for u to come up that far in weight if u wanna stay lean all year round. what you could do is increase ur calories and your carbs for bout 5 or 6 months and eat alot which this will allow u to build some good muscle but u will have a little bit of fat too, nothing major, then start a cutting phase for a couple months and repeat. who knows tho u might be able to eat more and stay lean just see what works for u

Dude you dont need to e skinny you need to be low body fat , there is a large difference you can weight 200 pounds and have 5% body fat (with a sixpaxk visible) and you can be 100 pounds with 60% body fat ( without a sixpaxk ) even if you are skinny one hundred pounds for example , depends in age and genetics but skinny doesn't mean you are low percent bodyfat

I'm afraid this will discourage people from doing core exercises. Granted they are not responsible for showing your 6-pack, but having a strong core is still important.
