Why don't more people listen and pay attention to this man? It is uncanny that he is was not the front runner in the '08 campaigns or at least close to being. Even now, he is not getting the due attention. His ideas are sharp and views are very clear as well as common sense but the majority of people are still in their little brain fog admiring slimes like Romney, Huckabee and Palin. Ron Paul echoes the reality which John Perkins (of Economic Hit Man) lived and is one of the few voices of reason while the US rapidly pursues the same fate of Rome, spreading it's empire too thin under the heavy intoxication of greed and power delivered under a quickly fading guise of freedom and 'democracy', only it's our version of democracy, and feels a lot more like imperialistic subordination and arrested development rather than self-determinism. I think it would be great, but the president (a democrat) has the reigns of the military, and the congress does not. However, the congress can vote to stop funding the military bases. That would be wonderful!
