    God Bless you!!!!!

  • I'll bet you a dollar, Mr Cash, watching down from the land above, that he is impressed ; )

  • I think Skip James, son house, Robert Johnson and Lightin Hopkins chanelled thru you on that song, very good stuff my friend...wow.

  • @fivethumbsfrank Wow thats some big company to be in, thank you very much, I'll be posting more songs soon! Thanks Again,

    God Bless!

  • Nice one!!!!

  • very jerry reed-esque....exellent job my friend

  • i love you brother. Thanks for doing what you do!

  • i saw those tuning pegs and thought it was a silvertone i got a 1960 silvertone and it looks alot like that

  • Brother, that is simply awesome! You have been blessed with a gift.

  • That was pretty awesome. I like that song and i really like your version. I play guitar from time to time but not nearly as good as you.

  • Did you by chance have your guitar setup by Dan Lashbrook....looks like the tuner pegs are shortened, which his trademark?

  • Praise God, it was enjoyable to listen to you

  • i gave you five stars : )

  • very nice !!!

  • amazing!!! this makes me extremely happy.

  • I thought I could pick this one fairly well....I will slink off quietly now :)

I could imagine this being done with Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys easily.

  • I have herd this song played and sing alot of ways I sure like this cut of it as well keep it moving now :)

  • that got my foot tappin. this was great man. thanks for posting up.

  • Your sound makes me feel so good! WOW.

    I stand amazed

  • coolio!

  • Pretty playing!!

  • My Friend! I watched this video months ago. I still reference it to find that feel good feeling from time to time or to just show you off to my Nashville buddies here at home! :) Brother, thanks for sharing your music!

  • Give it to that git-tar!

Awesome! Your videos are fantastic buddy!

  • steaming....cracking....err, I love it

  • I love to watch you play--what you see is what you get-pure genious--there's a storey behind you --maybe like my own--an x lead guitarist slightly mad etc--came to know jesus and now I'm an acoustic /singersongwriter--thats my storey--Are you on myspace--anyway great stuff-I love to hear real people play WELL DONE!

  • Thanks for the kind words, I'm certainly not worthy of being refered to as a genious, to put it quite bluntly I'm very uneducated in music theory and I've had to learn what I do know the hard way (by trial and multiple errors) As far as being slightly mad I qualify. So many christian musicians with good intent sing their songs to the damned, I prefer to sing with the damned because I know that I am one of them and by Gods grace I'm forgiven, God Bless!

  • Nice answer

  • You make me smile.

    5 Stars!

  • 5/5 You Rock!

  • AMANZING! YOU HAVE A GREAT VOICE!!

  • WONDERFUL! I love Big Ben Style! Lol, keep it up!

  • Dude, you `ve choosen a funny name. You are not a son, you are the Godfather!

I have seen all you put in, this one might be your best!

  • thx for that, great work

  • Bravo!~

  • I have no idea how anyone can rate this anything EXCEPT 5 stars! Awesome job!

  • Thats awesome

  • I have never seen such talent! how wonderful you are!

  • Thank's so much. I worked up this arrangement to play at a nursing home a couple of years ago and it was really neat to see the old folks embrace an up tempo weird version like this. My hope is that when my time comes to be in that nursing home maybe someone will fire me up with a song about Heaven. Thanks again!!

  • Hey my man... You have God given talnet! Keep Rockin'....

  • By the way...what guitar are you playing on? I don't think it matter much though. You could play like that on a 1925 Kay guitar with a 12 inch busted hole in the back and probably make it sound good. Great job! Post more videos! I am a sincere fan.

  • Thanks for the compliment, It's a 1986 Martin Shenandoah D-28. I bought it new for $600. It was actually assembled in Japan (That's why it was so cheap)

  • I have never posted a comment on here in the two years I have visited youtube. Man, this brought tears to my eyes! Great Job!

  • This is BRILLIANT! Good show mate!

  • I really liked this guitar rendition! I play I'll fly away on a gospel medley that I have put on youtube. check out allendale1962

    thanks, allen Dale.

  • Amazing man! You're the whole band! lol Very nicely done, sire. Thank God I'm from Dixie. Deo Vindice

  • Fretkillr

  • You are da BOMB ! awesome ! My favorite song ever! You blessed my heart ! ty!

  • You and your dad are great..You couldn't be more correct in saying that music really gives back when the gift honors "The Giver"

  • I can see jesus jamming out to this

  • Music really gives back when the gift honors "The Giver"

  • loved it mate.. you presented it well 5*

  • Love it. Wish I could play so laid back a style with so much feelin.

    Thanks.

  • Man! Very nice. I have always loved this song. Never heard it done like you did it here, but it's really nice. Preciate you sharing man.

  • Damn your good! Do you play guitar at a southern Baptist church cause you would be a perfect guitar player for one.

  • 10 stars from bluespower, big thanx for this!!

  • Wow..You have no idea how good you are, do you ?

That was pretty doggone awesome..I'd have to say..Wow. I love that song no matter how it is played. Chet and Duane were right, the best pickers are on some back porch somewhere..

  • Thanks man! I must tell you though I'm very uneducated when it comes to guitar. I really don't do scales and I don't know the names of most chords I play beyond first position. I learn ed it all the hard way ( by ear). Your encouragement means a lot - I've always been intimidated by really well trained players

  • I learned the same way..as did fretkillr and also planetalk, and most others..Duane Allman, etc. Often people ask me for tabs..I can't read or write tabs..I basically know a 'pentatonic' scale I learned somehow. I actually bought a CCR

songbook for 3.95 when I was 14, and that gave me a start. Then trial and mostly error.

  • i cant believe you know gary davis too

  • Thanks for the reply and nice video! You should check out a guitarist named Preston Reed he really has a unique percussive guitar style. My very first attempt at fingerpicking was a Rev. Gary song - He was one of the very first to incorporate fingerstyle guitar into the church. When asked why he played a Gibson he replied - because they hold up the best in the rain. How can you not like that. Keep on pick'n!!!

  • i like big ben style

  • awesome!
