N.C. (Niall) Lawlor - As well as being an absolutely brilliant lap steel guitarist, he is also an amazing songwriter. For more information see the IrishRockers website. He is a real 'low under the radar' undiscovered Irish talent. I wish he would put out an album, I think he's had one in the works for awhile. Whenever an N.C. Lawlor album sees the light of day, I'll certainly buy it.
Ok, now I am sure that guy is Niall/Nyall. He is an awesome player and singer and songwriter and he looks so much like a younger Bob Dylan it just blows your mind. I met him and we did a showcase gig together at the Gubu club in Dublin in 2003.
That is just awesome playing. And sorry but the person who said you could do it from beginner in about a month has clearly never touched a guitar in his life. The only thing you could do with two hours practice a day for a month is play some basic beatles songs - and maybe not even that.
I could, and I did. I can post a video of me once I get my webcam working. It is very possible with hard work. I'm also in serveral different bands and I play 14 instruments, 9 fluently, so, I know my scales and how to pick. So, I guess yes, my statement was wrong, if you're not someone who's really serious about music.
It may sound hard, but it's not really that tough. Just get a decent bar that's good to slide on ur frets, and a capo and learn how to pick. If you have never picked up a guitar, and you practice for 2 hours a day, you can learn to do something similar to that in about 1 month.

i agree with jteran29, if you practiced a whole month for 2 hours every day you couldnt play like this guy
