  • You can see so much pain hidden behind her eyes... no matter how much she smiles :'(

  • I love this moment !:))

  • tom cruise is a crazy goofball irl, but movies like this show that he can actually be a really good actor.

  • When Taka talks about the armour it's almost like she's talking about something entirely different. Like, the armour is just something you put on, but the man who wears it has earned that title of Samurai which represents Loyalty, Bravery and Honour.

  • she's beautiful and modest. everything good in a woman.

  • Every mans deepest desire in life is to get married to a women like Taka! she epitomizes the perfect wife! Not like these modern day whores (sorry for the language) who are loud, brash, foul mouthed, sexually promiscuous, have no idea of what being in love is, sleep around, cheat, drink themselves into drunken stupors and basically act like the bad types of men. Thank you soo much feminist for telling women they can be like men! feminits f****d up the beauty, modesty and humbleness of women!

  • @shamvara Wow...I just can't say it better myself, well put Sir!

  • It's all about honor.

  • Just want to point out that, to a Japanese woman of the mid-nineteenth century, Tom Cruise is one ugly mofo. Admirable, courageous, honorable, great with kids, but, butt ugly. Funny, isn't it? His nose is huge, his eyes are misshapen, his skin is too white, he is waaaay too hairy. lol

  • mmy friends it is not very complicated . ALLL u have to be is white thats all, u can kill her japanese husband hahahah she will still loveee youuuu...Whites ruleeeeeee

  • @shubroto81 what the fuck you stupid wanker fuck off

  • So beautiful, but it had to be the most difficult thing a woman could ever have to do is dress your husband our man for his own death! My husband was in the army and I couldn't imagine having to dress him in his uniform to go and possibly be killed within the next few hours. The love and irony of the relationship was just beautifully written. Especially because he keeps his promise that he would never forget her kindness to him. BRAVO

  • I can´t imagine any other such touching scene in any of the recent movies or the movies of the last 60 years. When she looks at him. Why aren´t the women today like this?

  • @78Panji Because the men of today aren't like these men.

  • @Ashesofour Yes, there are still men of honor around today.

  • @loveroftheclassics1 Not so many

  • Yes, there are still men of honor around today.

  • werry touching scene, i think i cryed maby 4 times when i look at the movie.werry emotional movie.

  • I was so happy when he returns to her at the end, heartwarming

  • shit now i gotta rewatch this movie

  • She is a stunner maan...

  • ARUUUGURIN SAN! She's awesome!

  • The title is misleading for this is not the scene when Tom asks for SAKEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

  • I think that this is the best film of Tom Cruise.

  • I don't see how's this touching. There were other, far more touching moments.

  • @omg5501 you can feel all the sadness in their eyes, their despair, their loneliness. But in the same time, they understand each other and need each other.

But you're right there were other touching moments, especially the very last scene.

  • this is a movie about an ex-soldier, getting hired by the Japanese to trains Japanese soldiers. the ex-soldier ends up fighting a pack of samurais, killing a samurai wearing red armor, and gets erotic with the dead samurais wife. he became a samurai, the man, the legend. he ended as the last samurai.

  • Oh God, that woman is beyond beautiful...

    she moves with the music...

  • @quetzalamaru Its hans Zimmer moving her. :)

  • Many would think that "The Last Samurai" is about an american man becoming the last samurai but, the movie actually refers to Katsumoto as the last samurai (and was modeled after Saigo Takamori, the real-life Last Samurai) and not Algren. Algren was the character used to discover and meet Katsumoto and lived to tell the tale of the Last Samurai to the emperor and his people. Algren can never be a samurai since he did not come from a samurai family. This misconception can be very popular.,,

  • @TheMofos123 actually "samurai" in the context of the title is plural, referring to not just katsumoto, but all of the samurai, since they were the last before japan embraced western modernism.

  • one of tom cruise's better performances..

  • friends all the beauty of the scene is the music. Love you Hans Zimmer.

  • i wanna see a samurai army fight a European crusader army

  • @masonhales , probably won't survive because a samurai doesnt have fire weapons, but he will be remembered by his sword and passion.

  • @OGURO2010 retard, do you even know what crusaders were?

  • @masonhales , hey take it easy , man! Do you know what is a dekassegui?

  • It's a very beautiful scene full of sentiment.

  • A fabulous scene, trying to describe it any word it would be useless.

  • This is a movie making masterpiece moment

  • man...that final shot of him looking out while she lays her head on his back gets me every time. it's almost like she's struggling to connect with him but deeply wants to

  • the woman just likes the white man's huge penis.

  • Beautiful, what a very powerful scene.

  • Tom Cruise is great actor! how can u dislike him?

  • Koyuki (Taka) seems to embody everything that a man finds attractive in a woman.

    A very powerful scene indeed.

  • I like how he kills the guy then tries to take his wife. A true man of honour.

  • @ChainsawGutsFuck Plot comprehension fail. Your name says it all anyways...

  • @P0rtilla Plot comprehension fail? This is a film about "the last samurai" being an American. Historical accuracy fail, bro.

Despite how good and emotionally involving the film is, the plot could easily be skewed as yet more convoluted Hollywood pro-American "this is real life" propoganda.

  • I love this movie and my fav part too!

  • ke buena escena no me canso de ver esta pelicula.....

  • pure LOVE..not lust..

  • It is like they make love with out all the nudity that such scenes would demand!

  • @soulfher It so much greater without it:-)

  • Really Very Best Scene of all Scenes! Da Godness of all Love Scenes i ya know bout story and if u have a great heart!!!!

  • Amazing movie! amazing scene! amazing music! amazing artists. everything in this movie is really wonderful. it's the best movie I have ever seen.

  • This is not the best moment. The best moment is when the samurai guy talks to him under the blossom tree and tells the haiku. THIS is one of the beautiful, and gentle romantic scene. NOT a best moment.

  • I have seen this movie recently x_x , koyuki is so beautiful

  • I think Katsumoto's death is the most touching scene, but this is still an amazing scene.

  • This movie keeps coming up on HBO and Showtime. im a grown man n this scene gets my eyes all watery everytime. Im like what the hell is a matter with me? haha deepest touching scene ever!!

  • this is love

    this is beauty

    this is passion

    this is real

  • I love this scene and this movie. Tom Cruise never did a better movie. In my lifetime I visited Japan six times. I deeply mourn "her." I come back to this scene as do many of you. Perhaps, I think, because there are so few experiences in our lives that are beautiful. This scene is my ideal; what I would wish to strive for.

  • My God!! Tom Cruise looks so handsome!! The way he looks at her...

Great film, great actors, and this scene is sublime!!!

  • I love how this movie doesn't resort to a gratuitous sex scene like every other hollywood movie.

  • @Adamazeroni So true. A beautiful love scene that leaves even the toughest man choked up and honors the relationship between man and woman. This was more than a movie; it was a lesson in life.

  • @Adamazeroni

    discipline :)

  • japanese girl is best.

  • absolutely loved her in kimi wa pet.

  • my best movie for ever it talks about a lot of things that our world lacks a lot of values ethics and peace

  • @assia735 u are making a good point. in the past 20 years we saw countless civil wars and evasions...iraq afganistan egypt israel libya and many more....

  • Sensual, Sexy .. Hans music sets the tone perfectly!

  • I found the red warrior armor for 5 grand . Gonna make a cool addition to my bedroom.

  • Sounds like LESTIFSA needs his head removed from his pathetic body.

Your a disgraceful excuse for a human being.

  • i pound her for breakfast..

  • @TheGuy123321 f*ck you moron we talk about one of the best movies of all times and you are only thinking about having sex F*CK YOU

  • 11 douchebags are Imperials.

  • this touching music n scene make me cry never saw such a Great movie. i Remember this till my death

  • I love this movie. I believe it is the best movie he has ever done. This "love scene" has more power and grace than anything I have seen that has come out of Hollywood in the past decade.

  • Best part about this scene. Tom isn't overacting like in the first half. And he can't beause he isn't talking.

  • killing her husband and screwing her ,no honor in this.

  • touching? you mean a lot of touching?

  • My favorite part is when Katsumoto is dying and sees the cherry blossoms and realizes that there is no imperfections in any of the flowers, that "they are all perfect". To this day I still cry every time I see that part. By far the greatest scene in any movie.

  • @drlovebutton Me too, I bawled at that part

  • hans zimmer you might have fallen off but i could give a shit this track is the best soundtrack ever..most underrated soundtrack of all-time

  • It would look better, if he would wear the helmet.

  • This is so sweet....Tom Cruise finally found a girl shorter than he is.

  • the girl is so beautiful...............

  • huh???

  • @subroto81 your thinking is such a crap man,

try to learn some manners brother seriously.

what you think according to you is cool but in real world it is dirty & disgusting.

  • @bhupeshyadav22 nevertheless. it's the truth :p

  • @bhupeshyadav22 And also not true at all! Haha :D

  • best part in the movie was whene he wouldnt lay down the wooden sword.

  • I was born to wear this stuff lol.

  • This movie captures the mystery and beauty of Japan so wonderfully. From the smooth language, to the careful movements that the people take in everything they do. Japan is a work of art!

  • @anticliche321 Especially the porno, Aum Shinrikyo, Hentai, and the university Rape Club.

  • @omsct were you on acid when you saw this?/

  • @anticliche321 Your comment was "Japan is a work of art". Not "Japan looks like work of art in this film".

  • i just thought about how awkward this moment would be without the hans zimmer music. haha

  • her movements are so fluid and graceful

  • 10 people are ninjas.

  • @blackraf1 Who'S ninja ?

  • the woman applies her perfume onto the helmet and armor so that if her man should fall in battle, he will remember her in his final moments and know that he is not alone.

  • The most touching part was when Katsomoto died.

"you have your honor, now let me have mine"

  • How artful, to make an intimate scene loaded with sexual tension where even the kiss is barely made. Very beautiful, very fitting.

  • I love the music to this film, it really is relaxing

  • she is so beautiful and this is a really awesome scence

  • BEST SCENE EVER!!!! RIGHT NEXT TO THE FINAL BATTLE!!!

  • 0:55 Giggidy giggi...oh, new shirt...yeah. Thanks.

  • nah... for me, the best part was where he was going mad for "SAKE!!!.... NO!!!"

  • True unity. Something that has become myth in this modern hell.

  • Me and my Girl do this Ritual Every night, except there are Candles involved lol!

  • my favorite scene is in the final battle. The part when Cruise looks to see guns firing away and getting flanked so he tells the messenger to call in Ujio and the reinforcements. Right after Ujio is riding in with the others on the horses scene and you hear them battle cry, (heres my best part of the movie), You see Wantanabe slashing away killing someone and then with the hype of the kill he screams and stomps for Ujio coming in. The look on his face is the amazing part stomping. PRICELESS. lol

  • definitly ....THE BEST PART OF THE MOVIE !!!!!!!!! no POSSIBLE ARGUMENT

  • this is indeed the one of the best scene, Kuyoki is beautiful, so simple yet so powerful and emotional.

  • How could this possibly be the BEST scene when KEN WATANABE is not in it? He out-did Tom Cruise in EVERY WAY!

  • people can hate and mock tom cruise all they want, but he gave me some of the best movie experiences of my life, and for that i am grateful, and this scene is proof that there is something so beautiful in this world and its worth fighting for, and worth dying for.

  • @hoodfigga33 you forgot one thing and that is he didn't create those scenes writing the scripts or music! The credit should go to the people behind the scenes of movies like this that make Cruise and others the actors they are!!!

  • @Wangtime1 very true, its a group effort, and all ppl involved should be commended.

  • @hoodfigga33 my best movie experience in my life is the climatic moment in 'top gun' where 'maverick' tells 'slider' he stinks, this helped me become the person I am today, thanks tom, and god bless.

  • @hoodfigga33 This is the only good movie hes been in lol

  • @hoodfigga33

Exactly mate. I was moved too and inspired by this scene of pure love and honor. It's so deep and beautiful I think words are not needed, just like any physical touch is not needed in this scene.

  • @hoodfigga33 lol u mean the writers and director of the movie gave u the best movie experiences, for tom(the actor) is just a tool used by them. U can say that they needed tom to make it, but work im sure they could of found some1 else to fill the part just as well (like christian bail for example).

  • @hoodfigga33 "and this scene is proof that there is something so beautiful in this world and its worth fighting for, and worth dying for. "

Really? And here I thought there was just sexual tension between these to.

  • This ONE of the more powerful scenes in the movie.

How Captain Algren went from being despised by the wife of the warrior he was forced to kill to her respecting and even admiring him was capture in this scene. And very few words were used to "show" how her feelings had changed toward him.

One of Tom Cruise's better movies.

  • You would think natural selection would have turned our species into nothing but cowards. The men who would charge to the front lines and fight gloriously would be killed off, leaving the cowards who would stay home to reproduce.

  • 9 Twilight fans missed the "like" button.

  • @FreshPrinceCM rofl

  • 9 twighlight fans need to be put down, quietly and peaceully

  • @FreshPrinceCM nothing more fitting could have been said. Well done my man.

  • And Kennel.

  • Wreston Croething

  • The purist of LOVE is right in front of us, this scene

  • Someone asked how she could love the man who killed her husband? The answer is she was samurai & she didn't marry her husband because she loved him-she married him because she was obligated to marry whomever her father or head of her clan told her to/arranged for her to marry. She may have respected him, liked him or even loved him as a friend, but her marriage to him may have had very little to do w/ love. Algren-she could respect him (after he dried out) & trusted him to take care of her.

  • There is no need for sex because she say's it all in her movements, and eyes.

She is in love with him and does not want him to die in Battle, she want's him to come back for her two sons.

  • Tom Cruise is both the ultimate douche bag and a superb actor, go figure!

  • @joetylerdale he's in fact an awesome actor, u simply antisympathize with him due to his political and religious points of views. u simply are unable to differ between his private life and his job. go figure.

  • @myvideoduzzle And you are unable to read a simple statement, o figure.

  • If he isn't ready for battle after that dressing room excitement then he never is.

  • AMAZING MOUVIE AMAZING SCORE!

  • honor is the most important thing to a man!!!

  • Wow such a beautiful scene and such a beautiful music

  • Could there be a more intimate moment? The gentleness of her touch moving in a poetic motion demonstrates her love for a man she did not expect to gaze upon ever again.

  • Other than Glory, this is Edward Zwick's best movie ever tremendously underrated.

  • the japonese woman is stuning beautiful! *.*

  • @murilonightmare She is physically beautiful but what makes her infinitely more beautiful than any catwalk model is how she carries herself as a true lady full of poise, self respect and femininity.

  • @blade004 totally agreed, the hole scene, her cuteness and femininity gives a warm temper to the scene, something like u feel deeply in love with all this emotion of the actress, and of course, physically she looks great.

i started kenjutsu training about a week, so was searching some stuff related, even for fun, their culture and way of seeing life really inspires me

nice movie, even that as bloody, made me cry too

  • @murilonightmare I am glad you agree, she certainly is incredibly special and definitely a woman i would have no trouble falling madly in love with given the traits she does possess in the movie. Actually my ex fiance (girlfriend of 5 years) was Korean and possessed many of these qualities, i miss her.

I have not heard of Kenjutsu but it does seem rather interesting because i am considering doing something martial arts related for mental discipline and focus so i might look into it :)

  • heh heh.......allllright...

  • I love Japan .. ♥

  • i love this movie!! its kinda bloody, but it made me cry.... even this was over 200 years ago, i still feel bad for those who died.... OMG!! THAT AMERICAN GUY SURVIVED OVER 16 BULLETS!!!

  • @ 53 seconds i like the music..

  • the music moves this whole scene....so elequent and powerful and full of emotion....hans zimmer really delivered

  • Finally there is something to replace a formularized sex scene.

  • Tom Cruise is ONE LUCKY S.O.B.

  • The most touching moment is when he's in front of the emperor and the emperor asks him a question.

Emperor: " tell me how he died "

Algren : " I'll tell you how he lived. "

    Isn't it just beautiful ?

Well, after all, I think the entire movie was the best part :)

  • @TheRealDeal1515 Can you send me a link or something of that part?

Is there a full movie of this movie on youtube? I really want to watch this film!

  • @Xsulhero I really don't have any links, and I doubt that you'll find the full movie on youtube.

I have the movie and that's why I can watch it whenever I want. You should buy it too.

  • @TheRealDeal1515 Okay, I'll buy it I think. ;) I've seen the little part you said already in a mix of moments in a youtube-clip. So, what other music do you like? (A)

  • @TheRealDeal1515 Absolutely!

  • @TheRealDeal1515 Yes, I believe that scene w/ the emperor is one of the best scene. The other one would be when the samurai (forgot his name) said, before releasing Algren to his ppl, a very short haiku. And then said, how they have become friends...in such an indirect way. Amazing.

  • @TheRealDeal1515

This movie is just not a movie it shows an entire new way of living life. THE WAY OF THE SAMURAI

    With Compassion

  • perfect moment --------> ='(
