Thank you, rocketstevo, for posting this...I grew up w/ the Madeline Kahn & Grover one but saw this when I was a nanny to toddler twins and they learned to echo the lyrics back to me when I sang to them--it was a very fun time and now my 9 month old daughter loves watching this w/me...soon I am sure she will be singing right along w/ me....no matter what the cynics and naysayers gripe about -this is a very sweet version --esp love how Ernie & Elmo dance together at the end. :) Thanks again!

Actually, I like this version better than the original. I understand why many would disagree, out of respect and all. However, I feel that the original isn't funny and you don't even get to enjoy the song because of all the pausing in the song. So thanks for posting this one!

I don't think this one is funny, so much as just plain sweet. The original is my favorite, but this is cute - and I'm glad they redid it so kids today can hear the song (one of my faves as a kid) with the characters they know =)
