In my own personal opinion I prefer the hornby one - lights can be fitted too - just use leds or buy one of the lighting kits available

@MrGasTurbine you get a empty frebreeze bottle or something similar and put 50% pva and 45% water and 5% fairy liquid and spray it over the little gravel pieces
