@MaidenfanCGB I know everyone here is going to disagree with this, but to me Venom was a horror punk band. Listen to punk bands like 45 Grave, Slaughter and the Dogs, early Blitz and Blag Flag. A lot of what was called heavy metal in the 80's was really closer to punk!

by the way motorhead is speed metal which is very distant from black metal!
you listen to mayhem, bathory, immortal... and you see that motorhead as nothing to do with black/death metal!

They do have a punk edge to them. Mainly because they were playing in a similar style to Motorhead, and Motorhead is very punk-y.
