How can you say video is superior to text? Video consumes vastly more resources, and when I watch a video I have to go through your message at your pace whereas I can read as fast as I'm able.

Far from being vague, text messages are written, reflected on and revised and therefore tend to be much better composed than "live" messages cf 90% of the videos submitted to this site which take 5 minutes to express a point that could be made in two sentences.
