  • My heart goes out to you. I am so very happy for your on the progress of your son. Our children can fill our hearts with so much love and joy, but when they are not well, our hearts can be filled with so much pain. I'm happy that you found out what was wrong. So many people have no idea! Well, congratulations.

  • Thank you for posting your awesome videos of your beautiful son. I have a 3.5 year old son with autism and we are just about to start the SCD diet too. We've been GFCF for a year with only minor improvement. God bless you and your family. I hope we will some day all be able to post recovery videos.

    Hugs,

    Laura

  • if he is eating fluoride toothpaste, get rid of it, fluoride is sold commercially as rat poison and it corrodes gut lining. get non-fluoride toothpaste from the health food store. And look at salicylates, just check those aren't sky high as that can have a cocaine like impact on emotion.

  • No, he uses a non-fluoride toothpaste. How do I check Salicylates. Isn't that found in bananas?

  • no bananas are low in salicylates... but they raise dopamine, which is implicated in both tics and OCD. A 30 day trial off bananas might be worth looking at. Mango, lemon, paw paw, golden delicious apples, pears are all low in salicylate. Email me via my website and I'll send you a reliable salicylate list to check.

  • Okay, thank you Donna.

  • how gorgeous.... I'm really pleased. Sounds like his moods are levelling, so he's starting to explore now he's becoming safer within himself. As you may know, I've been GF/CF, low salicylate, low sugar for 20 years. Warmly, :-) Donna *)

  • Yes he is. I remember from your second book, how your step mom would serve you ice cream even though you weren't supposed to. I wonder how that would feel like. Mickie has been gfcf for 5 years, low sugar & starch for a month or so.

  • good for you. My son has autism and I am going through the same experiences. thanx for sharing your video
