Deb.this as*hole making remarks is NOT worth your time of the day, remember the best revenge is to live well, let this idiot talk to himself for a while,he'll get the hint, well maybe, most ppl are sooo clueless, they "never get it",but plz do not allow it to stress you out my sister, you know what's right in your heart and no matter what he continues to say, you're talking to a wall, pointless to argue with that kind of paranoid mentality, anyway, young lady keep on doing what you do best.<3U
How do you know she was a beautiful person? Did you know her? We all knew her image, but very few really knew Farrah the human being. You can't judge a person by their image. She was a person, not a Goddess. She surely had her good and bad points like we all do. To the general public, she simply sold us her photographic image, and then wanted money in return. And we gave her lots of it!
Boy, aren't you a lovely person. NO I did not KNOW her, but even most children know that 2 + 2 equals 4. I grew up with her images and that is what got her noticed. But it was her desire to be MORE than just an image, to take on controversial roles and true life characters, to bring some very ugly truths to forefront making people aware and even helping victims in the process, THAT made her a beautiful person. She could have remained an image, but decided to make a difference instead.
Her most critical and unselfish role ever played was her inviting the world in to watch her own PRIVATE struggle to fight and beat cancer. Do you know how many people she helped by doing that? Do you know what courage it took to do it? She lost her battle, but I know she has effected and helped save lives by presenting "Farrah's Story" to the world. This goes above and beyond the superficial world of outer beauty. As a matter of fact, watching someone DIE of cancer is as UGLY as it gets.
I stand by my comment steadfast, she WAS a beautiful person AND soul. You're right about one thing, WE DO have our good and bad points, but it's choosing to override the bad and strive for good that makes the difference. NO one is perfect and it's sad that we live in a world where most are judged by appearence. But we all have the choice to look beyond and beneath and find good in all humans, even in you. Farrah's courage & hope to help others is what I will always remember her for. RIP Farrah.
It's sounds like you are either very bitter or trying to pick a fight. "She was a person, not a Goddess." (your words) For the record, I don't believe I ever called her a Goddess or even implied it. That only exists in a fantasy world, we are all mere mortals. Is this how YOU change the world and make it better?? Nice effort.........NOT. Have a nice day! :)
I didn't mean to sound bitter, and I certainly wasn't trying to pick a fight! I think your tribute to Farrah is beautiful. You are to be strongly commended! I was just trying to make the point that none of us really "know" who celebrities really are beneath their public persona. Farrah was probably a very nice and kind person with a gentle heart. But I'd have to talk to her first and get to know her personally before I could say that unequivocally. That was basically my main point.
I admire your steadfast devotion to the memory of Farrah. I too felt very very badly when she passed away. It was as close to a personal loss as you can get without really "knowing" the person who died. You're right: she was very courageous, and she did try to help others. Again: Watch the ad hominem! You shouldn't disparage me personally! One closing thought: I don't think Farrah ever really found the right man for her. She should have dated more, not just Hollywood Hunks.
I totally agree with you. "Watching someone die of cancer is as ugly as it gets." I have personally lost 3 of my loved ones to this insidious disease. I applaud Farrah's courage and internal fortitude. I think that "Farrah's Story will probably be one of her greatest legacies for the world. I watched it 4 times, and it made me cry every time. One random thought: Think of all the poor souls who have cancer and who don't have private jets to fly them all over the world to get treatment.
You really should not disparage me. That's ad hominem; attacking the person and not their argument. I was just sharing my feelings about Farrah and the cult of "celebrity" which permeates our lives. I agree with your arguments. Farrah could have stayed on that cheesecake show "Charlie's Angels", but she decided that she wanted to make something of her life. She was brilliant in "The Burning Bed." She deserves a lot of credit for this!
Thanks Tweeter53 for elaborating on your point. I didn't mean to attack you, I guess I felt attacked myself. I'm sorry about your losses, a friend of our family lost their battle yesterday to this awful disease. There are so many ugly people in this world, that my heart just goes out to Farrah and others who try to make a difference. Honoring their memory is all I have to offer. I agree with you 100% on the not really knowing the celebs, we only see part of the real picture if that.
Unfortunately, our society strives on their downfalls and misfortunes. It makes me ill to watch some of them disintigrate before our eyes with the help of the press and worse, the papparazzi. We eat up the dirt and live to see more. I for one, would love to see that turned around, ignore the dirt and pay attention to the good, they are not all bad. We may never "know" them for real, but I think we still get a pretty good peek at most. No hard feelings, just a touchy subject for me.
I made a vid a while back trying to show my point on this subject, how the celebs are chased, & not allowed peace in their lives due to their fame. They are still people even though they may seem to have it all, & not property. Some feel this is the price they have to pay for the fame and fortune. I believe they should be allowed to live and have a private life. It would be impossible to draw the line, but using common sense is a start.
