Well done Mark.......good rant, I work in the manifacturing Industry as a Welder/QA Inspector and all you said is so true.

The Goverment sold British Steel now owned by the Indian Company TATA........yes tata all right!!

The new blood isn't coming into Engineering....the goverment want to stop worrying about Health and Saftey and upsetting people and get their finger out their Arse and look after their own.

Some of the best people I have met in my trade are self taught and not academics.

There may be hope yet.

I think one of two things are going to happen in the coming years. The U.S. will go ahead and sell off the country OR we will have to fight to rebuild our manuafacturing industry. I hope we can rebuild our plants. I hope so, or we may have to learn Chinese.

The more I ponder this, the more I have to talk about! But I will spare you unless you want to carry on over direct message.

Here we go again!

It seems we buy imports because other countries can make them cheaper. I guess no one has fiquered out that spending money on foriegn goods sends thier hard earned money to foreign countries.

Another thing is that the average American family is in a lot of debt! China has now bought off most of the American debt. So where does that leave America?

Super top notch RACAL! I bet it is like a dream! RACAL is known for TOP quality.

I understand your rants on govenment and jobs. It is the same here in the U.S.. Our economy has slid into a service-based. The things that have made this country strong for many years have slowly been squandered, or sold to other Asian countries. In a couple of years, the whole damn country will be on sale. I could go on for hours about this, but it would do no good.

Again, a brilliant rant !... I guarantee this video has made a difference. One voice, but many listeners. One idea, but many that believe. One person, but many more who indeed are watching your back. Our future and generations to come depend on voices such as yours. We need to fight for the commonwealth as we have done so many times in the past. It would be great for the UK to get its manufacturing going again. I drive a Rover 45....it has a little union Jack badge on the boot, sadly only one or two things I own these days are UK built.

As you say there are no UK companies left, even the major banks are all foreign owned....as are the power companies, car manufacturing....see a pattern here?

I wish the Government would have a bit of pride in its own people and help put the GREAT back into Great Britain!

Yes well said Mark Manufacturing in the UK has gone downhill very much in the last 20 years. Its all now made very fast and very cheap in China. We need to kick start our manufacturing and exports very fast. The UK is very much quality manufacturing but then its all down to materials and labor cost and its much cheaper in China. We have sold most of our car industry and most of our utility companies are foreign owned ,we seem to sell when we need the money.
